I love these pencils! They’re shaped like pens, but they’re actually pencils. You can click on the top to release the lead, or shake the pencil, and the lead will come out automatically. They’re easy to use, and the quality is high, so they last a long time. Just be careful not to drop them—I've broken a couple by accident. Other than that, they’re definitely worth every penny! ☺️ Repurchased like a bunch of times !

I purchased this Alpha Gel pen after one of the students I tutor kept raving about it. Generally, I prefer regular wooden pencils, but my curiosity was piqued and I decided to try it out. This Uni-Ball Alpha Gel Hd Shaka Shaker pencil is a well-designed mechanical pencil and writes smoothly. The pros here are:• the comfort grip feature in the form of a squishy soft grip that makes your finger feel pampered• the lead can be extended by either clicking on the top just like other mechanical pencils, OR using the shaker option - just shake it and the lead comes out. You can also control the setting, as in clicking the lead in place. It is intuitive and easy.Final verdict - of all the mechanical pencils I've used, I have to say this is my favorite by far.

Good for sore hands. Writes smoothly. Good price for a mechanical pencil.

I love this pencil so much! Definitely worth every penny! The discription says it has a hard grip but honestly it’s still very squishy! Which is exactly what I wanted. This pencil is very pretty and I’ve bought one of these before in a different color and I’ve had it for 3 years! They are very good quality and worth the price!

I really wanted an Oxy-Gel pencil because I know that the grip is really soft, and I really needed it for my writer's bump. I saw this pencil online and I instantly fell in love with it. It looked visually appealing and the gel seemed like it would be really squishy, which would really help my sore finger. So, I bought it and waited excitedly for the Oxy-Gel to arrive in the mail. When it finally arrived, I took out the pencil and found that I was a tad bit disappointed. The pencil looked exactly like it did in the picture and all, but I have a few complaints about it. First, there were a few scratches on the pencil. Second, the gel wasn't as squishy as I would've liked it to be. Compared to my friend's pencil (whose Oxy-Gel has a really squishy gel) the gel that I purchased felt like those cheap pencil holders that you get from the dollar store. However, the eraser on the top of the pencil didn't bother me at all, unlike some of the other people who got annoyed by it. I do admit it's small, but if you have another eraser with you, I find that it's no problem at all. Also, I like how the pencil seems to just glide across the page when I write, as it's incredibly smooth. All in all, if it wasn't for the stiff gel and scratches, I really would have given this pencil a five star review.

It feels really nice and the shaker feature is really handy. The grip has a good feel to it, and I usually don't opt for thicker pencils but this one is just great overall. Again I prefer thinner pencils which is why I put 4 stars for comfort, but if you like this size, you'll definitely like it. Worth the money.

The pencil lead breaks easily, the spring that is inside the pencil bounces around. The cap for the eraser is slippery and small. The pencil looks great and feels nice in your hand. That is the only thing I like about it. Not worth the money at all. You will eat through lead very quickly because it breaks and then doesn’t stay tight when you press on the lead. It goes back up in the pencil 95% of the time. Very disappointed.
