The scholarly edition
If you just want to read the text, get the Dover edition. But if you are interested in understanding the context and its influence on English literature, the extra price is worth the 150+ pages. Essays by Coleridge, Sir Walter Scott, C.S. Lewis, Stanley Fish.

not for everyone
This book is only for people who are serious about being Christians. It is not for your garden variety "psych major" in college who thinks they can be deep by citing some common research terms. It is also not an easy book to read even though Bunyan hits me over the head with his allegories. This edition has some key criticism in the back that allows the ideas to be extrapolated.

Nice
The story's moral is in a way correct. One has to live life with a balance of good and bad things.
