Animal Protection Gloves Anti-Bite & Scratch Handling Gloves for Dog Cat Bird Reptile Snake (Black-1)

I got these to help me when picking up an adult boa constrictor after taking a pretty unpleasant bite on my hand. He was a rescue and I'm still learning his particular (and somewhat opinionated) personality. I haven't taken another bite with these gloves, but they're super padded and durable so I'm not at all worried. You do lose a ton of dexterity with these on, so my favorite trick is to use a gloved hand and a bare hand, keeping the gloved hand as a shield between the bitey end and the bare hand, and using the bare hand to shift the snake.

The gloves came with a disgusting odor that made wearing them impossible. I don’t recommend this product.Update (May 3rd 2021): The seller contacted me and immediately offered to refund half of my money and also offered to send me a replacement set of gloves if laundering and airing out the gloves didn't remove the odor. In the following days, the seller reached out a number of times to ensure that I was satisfied with the gloves. I was sent replacement gloves and these were in perfect condition and met our full expectations. I must assume that the first set of gloves were damaged during transit under circumstances beyond the seller's control.I can now say that the gloves meet their description and I can also say that the seller is trustworthy, honest and shows a deep commitment to customer service.

great for little animals like raccoon bite little young puppies but big one i am skeptical

I bought these because I was afraid of being bitten by Marvin the Green winged Macaw I just adopted. Their bite strength is greater than a pit bulls in pounds per square inch. However Marvin is afraid of my hands when Im wearing these gloves. As it turns out Im an idiot and a coward and discovered that Marvin is VERY gentle with his huge scary beak when it comes to fingers so I dont need these. However they are legit, thick and tough so Im sure Ill use them for something.

The double layered hand provided great protection at the hand level. However the sleeve offers minimal protection against a medium sized dog as I can feel my Aussie Shepard bite through the sleeve even when they aren't nipping quite hard.

I rescued a macaw a while ago, he was not allowing us to hold him and would try to bite for the few weeks of having him.We used these gloves to protect ourselves from his bite and work on earning his trust.He did bite me pretty hard while I was holding him but luckily I had the gloves on so it did not break skin. Just pinched.Worked for what I needed them for!

Bought the Glove in March '24 and it's November '24. And I need a new glove i still us it but it's ripped. I have a medium size dog. Have to make sure he doesn't bite threw the side that is ripped but its kinda hard becausehe loves his glove. The patting not that great after last month. It was good while it lasted.

My cat loves to rough-house and I like to keep my skin from bleeding. This is the perfect solution. He can bite, scratch and get as feisty as he wants and I can walk away unmarked!
