Q: Do you have plans to sell the filter only? I have many half gallon Ball jars and don't need any more-- but I would like to buy the filter only.

Q: I lost the pamphlet! Can someone help with directions?

Fill .... leave an inch or so from top of filter...with course (best grind) coffee of your choice. I fill the jar with water, put the filter in the jar, cover jar and let it sit on the counter or in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Remove the filter and let it drain the rest of the coffee into another container. This is the way I have done it for several months. Oh yeah DON'T SHAKE WHILE BREWING. I love this thing.

Q: Does coffee dust get into the brew?

Yes, even with a great bean grinder and course grind, a very small amount of dust sediment will settle on the bottom. I still love this system because it is so easy to use and clean. I'm sure some would just discard that last bit but I actually can't bear to part with any of my cold brew so i pour the last ounce or two through a coffee filter or cheesecloth. I don't think there is a filter system that could catch all of the dust.

Q: I want to purchase sipping lids for this. Does anyone know if I should get regular or wide mouth lids?

All wide mouth mason jars and lids are interchangeable. Same for regular mouth lids and jars. I use the wide mouth sipping lids on quart jars for iced tea. You can get them at retail stores like Target and Walmart (usually 4 pack of lids and straws is under $5 but you need to have the sealing rings).
