This purchase was to replace an 18 year old latch. I have to say it's quite an upgrade. It's much heavier and of a very good quality and it fitted right into the old holes luckily the supplied screws are bigger so it was a solid fit. I would strongly recommend this product.

Looks good, needs oiling every few months which is fair enough, its an outside latch, all the included fixings seem to of started rusting for us though, the latch itself is fine.Would buy again!

The media could not be loaded. Joiner may laugh at my work as I'm far from a Joiner . I had to make some adaptation to the Gate to fit this . There are no instructions with the latch but like me I'm sure you can work it out. Seen a similar one for a few pounds cheaper but they said the latch was thin and bent easily so I bought this one, and it seems sturdy enough.Attached Video Shows the fiited latch.

This is a heavy duty latch that shouldn't get bent out of shape the first time the gate slams. Very well made with good quality fixings supplied. No instructions though. I think a 12mm hole would be sufficient to operate the latch but I drilled two 6mm diameter holes one above the other and created a slot.The latch catches the gate automatically when closing with a pleasing click to let you know that it is shut properly.

OK - it’s solid built and works well after 6 months.The back plates were not very flat as delivered so I had to hammer them out a little first and then try and make them work on the door. Seemed OK in the end.Finish is good, nice smooth black. Supplied fixings were perfectly adequate.
