The rack is far more sturdy and better made than the photo suggests. Tubular frame feels very strong, straps are slightly springy making for a very snug fit to the car door. Easy to assemble in a couple of minutes and mounting is very straightforward however, two caveats: First, the tubular 'hooks' over the top of the tyre catch on the rear wiper on a Land Rover Defender. To get the perfect fit, you need to remove the wiper blade. Second, mounting a bike this way on a Defender partially obscures the number plate on the car. In order to leave it completely clear, you must remove the front wheel which rather defeats to object of a 'sling it on' rack. Dubai police may not like it...

Item was good solid. But not suitable for pajero 2020 with tyre cover. It is not only about the tyre cover, the distance between the spare tyre and the car is too narrow to fit anything. Had to return it back.

Good product. Safe attachments and good quality / value for money. On 2020 Pajero you may have to protect paint behind wheel from scratching because it needs some manipulations to push it in far enough.

It serves the purpose very well 🤗 we have two small mountain bikes and we're loving this mount. It's our weekend essentials now😂

Super simple and easy, installs in 15-20 seconds and remove it in the same time. Fits over the spare tire nicely. Fits also over the Ford bronco's spare tire not only the Jeep JL. Build quality is great. Only suggestion to the manufacturer is that if they can change the bicycle retaining strap to an easier simpler one.

Can't fault this bike carrier. Fits easily onto my 2007 Cherokee (Liberty). Instructions were easy to follow. I had it unboxed and installed in less than 10 minutes. Its easy to remove too, just loosen the bottom straps a little and 'hey presto' off it comes. One thing I will recommend doing is ensuring the hooks are attached to something sturdy and not a flimsy piece of bodywork. Mine are connected to my tow assembly.

I have a 2009 Rav4, first time I took the cover off the spare tire since I bought it . Prior to receiving the tire rack I was cautioned, maybe a little worried by the reports / reviews, that once installed you should pack item that you may need while travelling to the front of your storage area as you will not be able to access through the back door while having the bike rack installed. No "biggy" I thought, I even advised the boss that she should keep this in mind for packing the car. When the unit arrived I actually installed it myself (woo-who for me) and placed the hooks on the bottom of the door, NOT under the bumper. I had to / needed to have my son check my install, he's a pro. A JEEP owner with hard top, soft tops, wake boards, kayaks, canoes, trailers, sleds, ratchets, ropes, duck tape, you name it he has cargoed it. He gave me the passing grade for my install and he was quite impressed as well. I drove around town with my bike for a day or two prior to 3000 K trip that I'm 1/2 way through. Awesome, no issues, and I have full access to and through the back door. I am only carrying one bike mind you but I would not foresee any problem with two bikes on board. It was also deliver as promised, on time, on the date and day (a Saturday to boot) that I was advised on the date of purchase. Great buy, well worth the price, I am very happy.

Purchased this on 8-13-18. Very Nice, solidly built two bike rack holds up to 70lbs. The description is not clear; however; This bike rack (Model 302DN) is only made for the 1994-2018 Jeep Wranglers (JK), (not the 2018 JL as clearly stated), 2002-2009 Jeep Liberty's and 1997-2006 Honda CRV's which is on the back of the retail packaging. The Rack is very well built and easy assembly (using only a 7/16 driver, socket or wrench). It is highly recommend that you take your time inserting the set-up pins. They will scratch the powder coat badly (as seen in one of my pics) AND they can pinch your fingers. I recommend hold the rack against your chest firmly to insert. I did the other side this way and not scratch. It's a great rack for the price!! Very well built and will works well. I will probably use some bungy cords and a lashing strap just to be safe, which I have done before in the past. Overkill is better than dropping your expensive bikes at 60mph. I hope this review is helpful for future buyers.
