Great beginner jointer that will stand up to the competition at a great price.
For a "beginner" jointer, WEN has brought the competition into the market. It's as loud as any other planer, and to be expected. The build quality is better than I thought it would be and was pleasantly surprised. The dust collection on it is great and works very well. Being 6", you aren't going to be doing huge projects, but it works great for everything up to 6" and makes great square cuts. The smaller size fits will in my small shop where I don't have much room at all for tools.

Why did I wait so long?
I have a planer, I have a hand plane, I have a table saw. Getting this Jointer, really helps set everything up for the dimensions that you are aiming for. For my shop, I do not need anything greater than a 6" because having a 6" thick board is not only heavy, for anything greater than that and needing to "flatten" the wood, can just go through my planer. Between getting a jointer and a planer, I would say a planer would be best as your first purchase, then getting a jointer, if you are looking to make your wood dimensional.Aluminum fence, aluminum face, easy to change out carbide blades. Adjustment pieces are plastic, but after using it for about 2 months, I haven't noticed any issues with it being plastic. The dust collection, if you have a set up, works well, but if you forget to turn it on, say once or twice, it will collect in the duct and you will need to pull it out (if you left the hose attached without the suction). The cuts from the jointer are clean and feel very smooth. It came out at 90* right out of the box for me.Fence is easy to adjust, and the blade guard goes right back over the blades quickly and effectively.

Great entry level jointer.
A spiral head cutter for under $300?!?! I figured it was worth the risk to check it out and I am very satisfied. While the infeed and outfeed tables are only aluminum, they do not flex under usage. The cutter head leaves very clean surfaces on maple and purpleheart (both are prone to tear-out, but the jointer did a great job). As per instructions, I would recommend only taking 1/32" passes at a time. The motor does not hesitate at that depth nor did it hesitate on a 1/16" test pass, but I would not cut that deep in actual use. The tables were also almost perfectly level, requiring only raising the back, far corner by a 32nd or so. (Plenty of videos on how to level the tables are available.)The fence is the weakest link. While not hard, it takes a bit of work to get it square and true to the table. Make sure you have a good try-square to set it and double check it on the outfeed and infeed tables before every use. That would be the one change I would like to see. Also, a few screws were a little loose out of the package, but that's a common occurrence with many benchtop tools.Pros:PriceLightweight. Great for a small shop like mineClean cuts in hardwood like mapleComes with set up tools and safety pushersThe tables are well machined and flatMotor is powerful enoughAlmost ready out of the box. Only took ~2 hours to level and true the tables and fence, and set up for perfect square cuts.Cons:Fence setup is a little tricky to make sure it's trueNo onboard tool storageBoth of these are very minor issues. In summary, if you take the time to give this jointer a little out-of-the-box TLC, you have a fantastic light-duty machine. I have mostly run maple and poplar through it with no issues and I definitely have no regrets buying it.

Very nice budget jointer
I purchased this in April of this year and have used it on several projects. The unit seems to be well built, but as others have stated the fence has it's quirks. The base that the fence assembly slides on is solid and the fence assembly sits positively on it. The upper part of the fence assembly needs to be improved but is perfectly usable once you know what you are working with. When setting the 90 degree stop, you have to make a rough adjustment, tighten the height adjustment screw, and check level again. As others have said, the level, or plumb of the fence, might change slightly when you lock the fence down. When you know this, you can compensate on the adjustment to get it perfectly 90 degrees when locked.Someone had also mentioned that when you run a board through and maybe tap the fence slightly, it will go out of alignment. I have tested this by literally banging on the fence with my fist and cannot get the fence to move out of alignment. The fence alignment along the length of the table is slightly off out of the box. This misalignment would probably need to be fixed by shimming the fence mounting plate where it attaches to the body of the jointer. However, this misalignment does not affect jointing, so I am not sure if I will try to fix it. The infeed and outfeed tables are coplanar on mine and the infeed maintains the same angle left-to-right and front-to-back when adjusting it the entire range.Dust extraction works pretty well with only a small amount of chips making it above to the table surface. Overall, this unit does exactly what I want it to do, at a very affordable price point. I will report back later with any reliability issues, but so far everything has been great.

Good value for money
I am a new woodworker. It's a hobby for me, not a job so investing a lot of money for a full sized planer wasn't in the budget. The Wen tabletop planer had good reviews and I have been very satisfied with it. It was easy to set up and does a good job. My wood feels very smooth after it is planned and tear out hasn't been a problem as long as I take it slow doing several shallow passes versus one deeper one. It also came with good directions although sometimes the english was a little awkward. I don't think they were written by a native speaker.

Great jointer
Very nice jointer, the spiral cut leaves a better finish than Sanding does. I have the 2 blade planer and love it, wish I would've got the spiral cut on it tho, over all, very happy with my purchase. Would absolutely recommend
