Kingston 960GB A400 SATA3 2.5 Inch Internal SSD Upto 500MB/s Read, 450MB/s Write

Had some hesitation initially buying this Kingston A400 480 GB SSD ( 2.5 Inch ). Finally it arrived next day and used in a USB 3 Enclosure. Performs fast at consistent speed of around 105 MBs for large file transfers. Considering the price, this a great performance. The casing is metallic finish and feels good. Will recomend this for people loking for performance at affordable price. There will be more faster drives, but few seconds will not make that great difference. TIP: In USB Enclosure, right click properties - Policies -and enable Disk Caching to improve data transfer. It makes a very big difference. Just remember to click to Safely Remove drive option if this is enabled.

This SSD brought my old computer back to life! Boot times went from minutes to seconds, and everything opens instantly. For the price, the performance boost is unbelievable. If you're still using a hard drive, this is the single most impactful upgrade you can make.

Good SSD ...very fast booting

This is the best budget SSD. It is very cheap for a 240 Gb SSD. If you are planning to upgrade your old Toshiba laptop this is best. I was having 500 GB Mechanical HDD, it was very slow to open even my photos. So finally i decided to upgrade my HDD. It was the best decision. Now my boot time is just 15 seconds. compared to my 2 min boot up. All my apps programs work very fast. Even my file copying is increased very fast. It is very easy to fix to my old laptop. And very light weight. I did a fresh install of windows 10 . It work like a charm. SO guys if u r planning to upgrade your laptop, this is the best option.

Works like wonders on a 7 years old Lenovo Z500. Places this SSD in ca Caddy (places instead of the optical drive). However, I suggest everyone reinstall the windows and do the partitions properly. If you want your laptop to boot from the SSD using a caddy, with old hdd inside, i suggest forgetting about cloning the partition. It does clone it , but it's a little more complicated make it boot from it. My laptop didn't support tge clone booting but worked wonders reinstalling the windows. Worth for the money if you upgrade an old lapto and you do just some basic work on it. If you're a gamer, reconsider your options. Hope this helps

I Ordered for 480gb n got delivered within 2days with very reasonable price than the retail price in market. But the packaging quality could be much better from Amazon.However after installation in my Hp650 it made my lappy perform amazingly. Believe me it boots in just 10sec and there is no lag at all to open n perform any program. It gives 200-250mbps of speed while transferring big file above 1gb whereas this speed reduced by 50% while transferring files using an external flash drive.
