Small product - long review - 4 stars
I don’t normally buy things that have so few reviews, but if everyone took that approach nothing would ever get purchased and reviewed I also wanted to buy the Nikon DK-17M, but as is so often and too often the case with Nikon/Nikkor their product is out of stock everywhere with no estimate of when or if it will ever be back in stock. I can't even get it via my Nikon Professional Services membership.QUICK OPINION:So, an over-view first and details to follow: It’s tough for me to decide whether to give this 5 stars for pleasantly surprising me for something that was only $10.00, or mark it down to 4 stars for coming with absolutely no instructions. Maybe the manufacturer feels it is intuitive enough for an experienced photographer to figure out on her/his own. I am going with 4 stars to be cautiously optimistic since I just received it earlier today.WHY I PURCHASED:A Nikon D850 is my go-to when I do portrait work. At wider apertures I use one of two methods to get consistent, critical eye focus: A Hoodman loupe with either Live View or focus peaking, or manual focus with focus dot confirmation. With the latter, my aging eyes need a magnifying viewfinder.BUILD QUALITY:How good can a $10.00 optic be? Surprisingly good. It does not feel plastic-y or cheap. In hand it almost feels like a microscope ocular. Let’s hope it holds up just as well.COMPATABILITY:It comes with 6 adapters, so I think these would help you fit it on just about any camera. I am using it on a D850 – whose OEM DK-17 eyepiece is round, so I ended up not using ANY of the adapters. I simply removed the and DK-17 and screwed this one in. The package also contains two rubber eye cups to choose from, which is nice.USE IT AND – POSSIBLY – LOOSE IT:On Nikon bodies, there is a locking mechanism that prevents the OEM eyepiece from completely un-screwing and falling off. Note that lock no longer works once you replace it with this magnifier, so it could come off and be lost. Though I think this is unlikely to happen – it is worth mentioning. Also consider that your body might not fit into your bag with this attached.CUT-OFF VIEWFINDER EDGES:One of my big concerns with a 1.5 magnification on this product compared to the 1.2x of Nikon’s offering was that the viewfinder information would get cut off. I was very pleased to see it does not. However, because of the field of view you do need to move your head just a little to the left to see what is on the right, and a little to the right to see what is on the left. Another way to put it is you need to move just a very little bit to “peek” around the corner of the eyepiece. Since I got this just for manual focus portrait work I think I will quickly get used to this, and find it an acceptable trade-off for the extra 0.3x of magnification.OVERALL - HOW MUCH DOES IT HELP MANUAL FOCUS?I have been testing for a few hours now, and it help. A LOT. I have been shooting and distance, and zooming and cropping aggressively and I am already finding my number of manual focus "misses" has dramatically dropped.Craíg

You should probably save your money
This product is just so so if you're looking for significant magnification this is not for you and the rubber eye cup piece is cheap and could easily come off

Fits on Nikon D70s and D70 w/1.5 magnification
Exactly as described. Each mounting piece has molded labeling to which manufacturer it goes to. N for Nikon, etc. See specifications: Compatibility for more details below Description. The viewfinder eyepiece screws onto the mount base and the rubber eyepatch doesn’t obstruct any viewing in the eye view. May need to adjust focus on your cameras eye view because of the magnification.Definitely not squinting into that tiny eyepiece anymore.Don’t have live view in these old cameras and wasHaving trouble viewing and getting focused pictures without the 1.5x viewfinder eyepiece.Definitely can see better now.Fits my Nikon D70s and D70 perfectly with the N mounting piece.

Robber Eyepieces
The rubber eyepieces keep falling off and lost 2 already! Had to buy another one to have other pieces and am thinking of gluing it! The magnifier is good though.

Worthwhile for Use With Manual Focus lenses – recommended (especially for those who wear glasses)
Reasonable Price, Fair Quality | Used with a Nikon D750. What does it do? It magnifies what you see in the viewfinder. For enlarging and checking focus, yes it works. One drawback, it created a vignetting, a narrower field of view within the viewfinder, meaning you have to tilt and peak around to see the light meter and the focus confirmation dot. Would I use this device all the time? No. But I will use it with my manual focus 85mm portrait lens, and for that, it works very well.

Perfect for my Minolta SRT 100 and dwindling eye sight
It's getting harder and harder to nail the focus with my Minolta SRT 100. I've tried different slide on diopters, but I found this works the best. Some of the framing is lost as the attachable viewfinder magnifies things a bit, but I no longer have to struggle to get what I need.
