2mm Aluminium Sheet Plate - 6082-T6 Grade - 150-150-2mm

The aluminium sheet is supplied with surface protection and arrives in very good condition. I have placed three orders with the company for this type of material, which I use for a wide range of mechanical projects. The 2mm and 3mm sheet can be cut with an angle grinder and finished off with files. The 1mm sheet can be cut with snips. I use a Stanley Aviation Snip - Long Cut 2-14-566. The tail fin of the whirligig in the attached photo was made from 2mm sheet.

I bought two pieces of metal to make a bracket and what has helped me most is the two sheets of aluminium were identical in size and each sheet is covered both sides by protective polythene.

Was after sheets for magnets to stick to unfortunately these are not magnetic.Everything else was perfect, arrived quickly and in great condition etc

Just the right size required

I got what I ordered, very quickly. A 200mm square sheet of 2mm thick aluminium.I used it to make the control panel on a small amplifier, with a volume control, input jack, on/off switch and warning light.I still need to add labels to the controls, but I foresee no difficulties.

Expensive

I bought this to make my own front panels for EuroRack (modular synthesizer) units and it's ideal for that. Nice shiny finish and thick enough not to bend under normal use, also matches the premade panels from the likes of Thonk in thickness terms. Will buy again.

Great to be able to get hold of simple “sheets” of steel, in my case aluminium, for some diy projects.The edges were not de-burred and it might be an option for you to consider or perhaps peened edging.Other than I’m a happy customer.
