Interesting take on werewolves
I've seen this book multiple times so finally broke down at bought it. It's definitely a different take on werewolves. In this story wolves can perform magic, so it's almost like they're part witch. I'm not sure how I feel about this because it almost seems like being a shifter is an afterthought and the magic is more important. I really liked the story and I thought the world building was great, but it just felt like something was missing. I'm not sure if it's because the story felt rushed to me. It's a quick read and I thought the authors could have expanded more on certain things. For one, Nai is from a pack that has been banished from Alpha Island. The authors make it seem like everyone hates them because of this, yet we never really see Nai get mistreated or bullied once she makes it to Alpha island. The four most respected shifters--the Midnight Brothers--automatically befriend her and she becomes best friends with another girl right off the bat. It made the whole banished thing unimportant.Next, it got really annoying when the word "douche" or "doucebag" was overly used. Every chapter Nai was referring to someone by that name. Then the whole percentage over usage got really annoying, too. "I'm 99.9% sure it was annoying." LOL Then there's the whole fated mate thing. Nai meets a masked man at a party and they magically become fated mates, though why it happened at that moment rather than the first time they met is never explained. Through the whole book his identity is kept hidden from Nai, yet it was so obvious that when it was revealed it wasn't a surprise at all. I was REALLY hoping the authors were trying to trick readers and it wouldn't be who we all expected, but it was and that was kind of a let down. I wanted to be like, "Oh, my gosh I did not see that coming." Anyway, it was a decent story but I was just expecting...more.

So surprisingly good!
Look, this book was… really good.I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I don’t usually love school-themed books, or YA books, or books that look suspiciously RH (but are not, in this case)... basically, the odds were stacked for me to not pick this book.I saw some other reviews where people said they were surprised by how good the book was, so I gave it a try and y’all… this book is good!! I couldn’t put it down! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes YA books, slow-burn romance, fated mates, and sassy heroines. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!Synopsis: Nai is a wolf shifter from an outcasted pack, who is summoned to train at Alpha Academy, where all future pack leaders go. Along the way, she encounters her fated mate, breaks all the rules, and uncovers a nefarious plot that has an impact on her past and that of her mysterious mate.Sizzle: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 4/ 5. There’s a great enemies-to-lovers vibe here, and Nai and her mate (hehe, no spoilers!) have plenty of great chemistry.Ship factor: ⛴ I’m a little skeptical at how fast the pivot from “I hate you” to “I adore you” happens, but I’m here for Nai/Mate.Feminism Fails: I can’t think of any off the top of my head. There’s some mean girl stuff, but generally, Nai has a badass attitude and some awesome female friends who stand up for her. Love it.

An Amazing Read!!
I love Leia Stone, so when I heard she was teaming up with Raye Wagner I knew I couldn’t wait to dive in. This is a brand knee series by these two authors. I absolutely loved it. If you like shifters, romance between two fated mates, academy, then you will love this book.Nia is nineteen and an only child. She has been training and working with her father to become the next alpha of her pack. Shifter island is where she will finish her training and get her elemental magic. Twenty is when your get summoned to the island, but for some reason she was summoned early. Her escorts to the island are the four Alpha Heirs of her enemies. At a masquerade party is where she meets her fated mate. It’s rare to find your fated mate but also a high crime if they are not from the same clan. Her mate is sexy, strong, Very stubborn, and everything you’d want in a mate. He is very hot and cold towards her because he is not from her clan and very much one of the Alpha Heirs that escorted her to the island.Nia has a lot on her plate. She wants to figure out who her fated mate is, why the island is being invaded and why strange marks are appearing on her skin. There is a lot of action, romance, and new friendships. I loved this book. I loved the four brothers. There is a cliffhanger at the end and boy was it a heartbreaking one. So worth the read though and I hope you will give it a try!!

She just wants to get her magic on and rule her pack back on the Human realm. Then you have the Virtue Brothers, moody alpha males. They don't want anything to do with her, because of her clan.Betrayal, heartbreak, swooning, heat and kick ass heroine and her bestie are all there to make you wish thebsecond one was already out.
