Was able to read and clear codes on a Maxxforce 10. Which is what you need if you own a Maxxforce 10.

Very solid scanner
i am a mechanic by trade and i have many scanners that i use regularly. this one is great for the pulling of codes, erasing codes, etc etc. you can also check abs issues and tell the brakes on certain cars to retract calipers or open lines for bleeding which is a must have if you work on those certain vehicles. So in essence it stacks up with most of the units in this price range, just make sure it has the options you are looking for. if you only need a code reader there are much less expensive solutions but they do not possess any other abilities besides reading and erasing codes, this unit does a whole lot more than that, making my life alot easier when troubleshooting auto issues. the live data on this reader is priceless when looking for a fuel problem or O2 sensor malfunction. additionally having battery and alternators test as well as individual component test bi directionally. this is deff not for the casual mechanic you will never use most of the functions unless you understand not only the auto functions but the scanner functions too. very good reader and tester does its job well and priced great

Does Not Work on Allison transmissions
Bought specifically to diagnose Allison 2000 & 1000 issues on our Topkick fleet trucks, does not connect to ECU. Allison dealer tells me that these handheld devices rarely work and you need the laptop and factory software. It also won't connect to the Isuzu 7.8 Duramax engine ECU. Same story, dealer says most handhelds won't.Edit to add: won't connect to older IHC ecus, won't connect to Hino, won't connect to Mitsubishi Fuso. This thing was a bust for me.It will do generic OBD2 stuff, but has trouble with Ford 6.0 and 6.4 diesel connecting anything more than basic code reading.I get better results with a Bluetooth BAFX dongle and my Android phone using TorquePro app.Basically I wasted my money buying the FCAR F507.
