I love this, it's nice and sturdy. It has helped me create some space on my dresser. The only issue I had was, the directions could have been a little better detailed or they could mark each board with a sticker to indicate "this end up" or something. I only had to correct myself once while assembling, oh, and they include a small screwdriver. Very helpful if you don't already have one.

Works for me but could be a bit cheaper

This bookshelf is amazing! It freed up so much space on my desk and I am loving it! The only thing I absolutely hated was the instructions on how to set it up. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong with the first 2 shelves!! I had to keep unscrewing them and trying again until I was finally able to find the problem. I almost thought I got a defective set, because it looked like I was following the instructions. Just don't give up if you are struggling, the final result is worth it!

I have bought two of these to organize a deskside bookcase. They're solid and do a good job of holding stuff up. But do know that these are meant to be workhorses, not show boats. Here's a little Pro/Con list- the cons are a little longer because I wanted to be straight-forward about the issues I bring up.PROS:1) Very simple to put together once you get the hang of it. The screws and screwdriver are surprisingly nice quality for such a cheap DIY kit.2) I like the modular design as it creates natural mini shelves for stuff, so it's really useful to break up a larger bookshelf.3) Super sturdy once you put it together.CONS:1) The packaging comes with that awful flaky Styrofoam that sticks to EVERYTHING when the little bits break off (and they do, at the slightest of touches). I have to constantly be cleaning during unboxing and assembly because the little Styrofoam flakes drive me nuts.2) Item quality is meh. I knew that for this price, it wasn't going to be nice hardwood. I got the lighter color because I assumed the edges would easily chip and show the light-colored pressboard, so that obviously isn't a dealbreaker for me. The sides have some pressboard bleed and laminate issues right out of the box, but the shelf itself is sturdy. These shelves are work horses, not show horses.3) The construction process is frustrating. The instructions number the pieces, but none of the actual pieces are physically numbers, neither written on nor stickers (or at least this was so in the two kits I bought). So you have to go by eye and it's very much a test-and-see. You'll probably wind up attaching then detaching pieces because of this. I was still able to assemble in less than 30 minutes, even with these issues. Fair warning: if you don't like assembling (even small) furniture pieces or get frustrated easily, for the love of your blood pressure go look at something else.Overall, not the best shelf in the world, but I'm satisfied enough I bought two even with all the annoyances.

This is great! Super sturdy and easy to assemble. They give you a screwdriver (a decent one too!) to put it together with. It was pretty dusty coming out of the package, so be aware of that.

This is a wonderful little bookshelf. You can use it for photos, books or just decorations. It is easy to assemble and I just love it. However, the price increases every time I check it. So buy it the first time you see it.

Of all the items I have ever purchased from Amazon, this is of the poorest quality. It came with no written instructions or markings on each section and I had to figure out which went with which by the number of holes in the pictures. Thanks to my being a handy female I managed to put it together. Even then, the pieces are not drilled in the right corresponding dimensions and the rack wobbles. The individual pieces are so thin that the screws pushed through the sides. I don't expect it to last very long. I was terribly disappointed in this item.

the directions are a little cryptic, but i figured it out and it’s super cute amd sturdy. helps a lot with keeping my desk clean
