I prefer these metal feeders and waterere over the the plastic ones for looks and durability. I normally buy these in the store, but they were out the last couple times I went. I've bought these many times and they fit with any MASON/BALL jars. As long as the jar has a standard opening. Obviously they don't work with like spaghetti jars or such unless they have the tradition Mason jar top. These are the perfect size for 1-12 chicks or a decent amount of Coturnix Quail depending on what size jar you put on them. These last forever if you don't leave them outside to rust.

The media could not be loaded. This is perfect for my 8 baby chicks. The Mason jar screws on easily and is easy to unscrew and refill. My only problem is that they get bored and want to scratch the feed out onto the ground. I solved this by placing this onto a large rectangular plastic tray, then when they have scratched a lot out of the feeder I remove the feeder and let them peck the feed off the plastic tray. They really get excited and come running when they see the feeder!

Years ago my sister gave everyone in our family one of these feeders with a canning jar full of candy attached for Easter. It was a hit. I wanted something to hold candy in our guest room as our friends love candy. I was happy to find this. It worked perfectly.

Attached to a canning jar feeder and the favorite in my yard. Have it on two feeders.

It fits a mason jar perfectly. Was a little difficult to fill at first but you get the hang it.

Fine graine chick feed flows thru really fast. Shavings get in the large holes. I put a canning lid with 5/8" hole drilled in it to slow flow of chick feed and it worked better. My Ball jars fit it fine. I like the ones with no holes better as feed flow is more manageable and they are easier to keep clean.
