Very unhappy with this product.Cooking the chicken making the broth cutting up all the vegetables cutting up the sausage is labor-intensive. That is why that I bought the roux so that I could save myself at least one labor-intensive step. I have made gumbo for years. I am from Louisiana this roux ruined my gumbo. Ruined the whole pot. I’m very upset. The roux tasted burnt.

Ignore the burnt smell when you open the jar, trust the process and keep going with your recipe. If you’re using chicken, sear it first. Using File seasoning at the very end before serving is the final magic to developing an amazing flavor! Let the good times roll!
