The Haunted Tea Cozy: A Dispirited and Distasteful Diversion for Christmas Hardcover

I am an Edward Gorey fan. Gorey is an amazing artist of many creative talents. I am trying to read every book he has written or illustrated. This one (book) is a keeper!

Edmund Gravel traverses through this quick but enjoyable read by Edward Gorey, including his great illustrations. A bug-like creature leaps from Edmunds tea-cozy and takes him on a Dickens-like "Christmas Carol"-like journey. The stories are sad, depressing, and amusing all in one. Great holiday entertainment, and a great gift for the scrooge who has everything but this book.

Must have book for Edward Gorey fans. The incredible artwork and odd humor of Edward Gorey make this a great book for most people.

I forgot I bought this. And I don't know if I gave it to whom I intended it for. So will have to look for it.But all Gorey is terrific.

I love this book. It is so good and so me that I bought 2, one a present and one for moi. Mr. Gorey is so dark in his humour but his engravings are utterly rememberable. I keep hearing the words in my head. Lovely, lovely volume.

Typical Gorey

This was the first book of Gorey's, where I encountered colour. I have to say, I prefer it just black and white. The best character is most definitely the Bahhum Bug but I didn't find this book as enjoyable as some of his other titles. It was just 'okay'.
