I found these tags after a short search and am enormously pleased!I was using the plastic labels that come with the plants as temporary markers until I could find something better. The writing and pictures faded over time, the plastic became brittle and broke easily and, because they were so short, they came out of the ground easily and would blow away at the slightest breeze.Because these tags are so long, I am not worried about them coming out of the ground when it heaves during winter, nor getting dislodged by animals digging. The metal is easy to write on (I used a Sharpie) and the ink doesn't come off. They are very sturdy and durable.I collect hostas and the nice thing about these tags is that I can adjust how deep to place the label. Some of my plants have huge leaves, so I need the labels to stand up higher to be seen. For my dwarf varieties, I need the labels to sit near the ground.From now on, these are my go-to tags. They are definitely worth the price!

They were different from the ones that my son had 30 years ago that I found in his old room. BUT they are perfect! Easy to write on, like the old ones, easy to assemble, the old ones were already assembled, HOWEVER, they were perfect, just right for me to place in my front yard garden. I can mark my plants that I can't remember the names, and I can mark the places where I set out new plants. I hope others will try them, I am sure they will find them just as useful as I have. It's hard to duplicate things these days, Put your's really rose to the occasion. Thank you for making a useful tool, easy to use, just the right height to mark my plants, and others can read what plant is where.

This is the second time I've ordered these and the first time they were great. Second time they are good. For some reason the metal plates bend way too easily.

This is a very solid holder and the name plate is held on four points to the stake. No chance on the name plate getting knocked off or blowing away. The stakes are 12: and deep enough to get a secure hold in your garden and still be up enough to read. This is all metal, no plastic, no glue. It should hold up for many years if stored over winter indoors. The nameplate is the right amount of size to put a postal label or use a labeler. You can write on them with a permanent marker if desired. Since I like to move things around I will opt for the label maker and plan on the labels only lasting the season. For perennials I will use a permanent marker. I plan to give some of these to my little children and let them do some paint art to help them be involved the in the garden projects.

I love these plant tags! I bought a second set. The face is large enough to write on with a shapie. They go down far enough in the soil to stay firmly in place. I love the slight tilt on the stake! When the tag is slid to the top, and placed in the ground, you can see the tag clearly when standing. These tags will help me greatly in tending to the plants I planted and remembering what I planted where. Very happy!
