This camera is fabulous!
I've probably written 3 maybe 4 on-line reviews in my lifetime, yet I am always grateful for everyone who does because they certainly help guide me with my purchases. The reviews that I read for WYZE were 100% the reason that I ordered these and so I feel like I should pay it forward to future shoppers.I needed cameras for a rental house several states away. Once it was finally empty, I felt like we needed some extra surveillance inside the house because of some stuff that had been happening. I didn't want to spend a lot as I would only be using it for a few months until the property sold. I also needed these to be super easy to install and pretty much no fuss. Coincidentally, a pandemic had begun right after I installed these- perfect timing as there was no way we were able to get to the house with a stay-at-home order in place. If you need inexpensive, reliable, easy to set-up/easy to use, than THESE ARE THE CAMERAS for you! I also bought the camera stands that you can plug into the outlet (they come 2 in a pack-FYI) which were also helpful for this one space. I bought 3 cameras- one for each door. I also decided to buy some WYZE lightbulbs so that I could turn the lights on and off from my house (again, several states away). The bulbs synced so easily and everything was controllable through the app on my phone. You can even talk through them if you need to- like asking a burglar what they might be doing in your house! There are a couple of options to be aware of- each camera can use its own SD card (not included) if you want to have a permanent record of the motion/sound that the camera picks up. We didn't do that but we did pay the $4.?? a month for COMPLETE motion capture. That allows the camera to record continuously until the motion or sound stops, otherwise I believe it only records for 12 seconds each time it is set off.Keep in mind that using these cameras is completely dependent on the internet if you want to be able to receive alerts when the cameras pick something up- which they did a lot! You can, however, adjust the sensitivity to the motion/sound which is nice. If your internet is unreliable, you might want to keep looking- but honestly I don't know enough about all of that stuff to truly offer solid advice. We just sold the property and so I went into my app to see about discontinuing our service and it was SO easy! I clicked one button- and it was done! I didn't have to call anyone. I didn't get a runaround. I didn't sit on hold. Thank goodness. AND just as soon I received a refund to my account for any days that I paid for in the month but didn't use...These cameras and lightbulbs have my highest rec... no fuss, get the job done., price was right!

Simple set up and works well; great value
I really bought this just for the sensors but the camera and app is surprsingly good. I use this on my front door to detect when it opens and it's been about 2 months and hasnt failed me or fallen off or anything like that. The app was very easy and intuitive to use and very customizable in terms of notifications. The camera I didnt really need but I had to set it up in order to use the door opener sensor. It was quite easy to set up and the image quality is actually quite good. To get all these things in one package for that price is a great deal.

Very cheap but functional camera and entry monitoring solution.
Nice and simple to set up. Sensor integration into the camera is a great idea for basic home security. Good quality picture for the money and even works at night though it could benefit from better IR. 4 tiny LEDs give a hotspot in the center, but the simplicity and basic functionality is fine for the money. Nice idea to monitor sound to detect audible fire alarms though I haven't tested that yet.

BEST BANG FOR YOU $$$ READ.
Only had for a few days but as a Security Expert im impressed so far. (Yes i have read other reviews about bridge and information sent to China)CHINA?: I want to address this first as I have not tested that aspect of the system yet. But if what other people are saying is true about this system routing information to China then I still dont care and this system for the price is still worth it! If China really wants to see what I do at 2am in front of my computer after the family gos to bed then they are welcome to watch. 😜 China if you are watching give the rest of the equipment I need to do the whole house and put one in the bedroom to include an weekly show. ( show subject to wife's mood and what I have said recently that upset her. Me alone in front of computer more likely to occure on a regular basis)CAMERA: Clear picture and sound. Responsive on screen motion tracker and motion event recorder. Have yet to see more than a 2 second delay and that could be chalked up to haveing a standard router with multiple devices connected. Tonight it actually detected, tracked and recorded a feather floating around the room after i turned the sensitivity up high. ( normally not done so dont worry about it going off all night) You can even draw boxes around parts of the room ( doors, windows) and set the tracker and camera to only record when movment is detected in those areas. The camera can also be set to start recording when specific sensors get activated. If you are like me amd have a laundry room between the garage and kitchen this is a great feature. I put a Door Sensor on the door to garage. So if someone opens the door from garage to laundry they still have another door before they get to the kitchen. When the sensor is triggered the camera pointing at that door automaticly starts recording and ready to catch the intruter before they even come through the door. This will fill in any chance of a delay from the camera's motion recorder if you happen to have a slow connection. Alot can happen in 3 seconds.DOOR/WINDOW: Very Small! Easy to install and very reactive. My only concer is the adhesive tape mounting. Im sure it will degrade quickly but a minor issue that i found a work around due to is very small size. I'll be putting a notch in my door and frame to slide the 2 halfs in to on each side. This way the sensor cant fall over time, be removed without opening the door and more importantly it cant be seen. If you try this be sure to install a way to retreave it when the batter gos. I'm glueing L shaped rods to the sides that sit out side flush with the door so it can be pulled out when needed.MOTION SENSOR: These work great! Small, light and sensitive! Stays alert until there in no movment for a good anount of time. So if you see it on gor 5 mins straight, you got a good amount of movment. Found a great trick for these as well. Decide where you want them and get some small flat magnet and metal plates to mount them. Metal plates on wall with a dab of touch up paint to hide it and attach your sensor. Easy! Same adhesive concerns as the door alarm. The awesome thing is the size and sensitivity. This week ill be making a little waterproof box so they can be attached to the exterior of the house. Motion detection inside AND OUT. Not to mention one going in my car letting me know when if someone is snooping through the windows in the middle of the night.THE BRIDGE: Ok I have read a good amount of feedback on the Bridge (this connects the sensors to the camera also giving you the access to it) This is a very small bridge with low power so you should not expect the sensors to properly connect if too far away from the bridge. This is where WYZE needs to put more effort in yo SmartThings intergration so it can be used as a HUB amplifying the reach with a stronger conection or simply make their own HUB that attaches to your home router.A work around for now may be ti possibly layer your home coverage with more than one of these packs and connecting your cameras and sensors by zone so sensors are reporting to the nearest camera. Remember only the camera has to reach your router by WiFi sensors only have to reach the camera. This gives you a wide area if you plan your system out by testing and knowing your coverage. If you got the cash to spend SmartThings makes a great Mesh WiFi Router with 3 repeaters that will cover an entire large home and possibly your entire block 😜WYZE Ill be purchasing alot more of each item to be part of a SmartThings and Echo Dot Alexa System.WYZE NEEDS TO GET ON THE BALL WITH SMARTHINGS! This product is perfect for it.
