Normal liver enzymes in my dog.
When she was about 6 years old my Rhodesian Ridgeback was diagnosed with elevated liver enzymes. My veterinarian recommended milk thistle. I started her on this product and her liver was normal in a couple of months, and at 8 years old she is still doing fine . I highly recommend this product.

Perfect way to get Milk Thistle in my fur baby!
Omgosh these work a lot better than the liquid eye dropper milk thistle. My dog loves them and takes them willingly. No more fishy smell, stains from the liquid and no more pausing to eat her food.

Works!
My dog is on phenobarbital and this has helped keep her liver values in check. We'll be reordering as long as she is with us.

Thank you Coco & Luna!!! Pugs ALT back in normal range
UPDATE: pugs elevated ALT liver enzymes back in normal range after 2 months of using Chewable Liver & Kidney and SamE. Went from 295 ALT to 78. Plus we're started Prescription Ursodiol. Our pug was diagnosed with elevated ALT liver enzymes a couple years ago. First year ultrasound showed no concerns. Recently had a second ultrasound and it showed small amounts of Sludge in her Gallbladder. We've been feeder her a Prescription fresh food Hepatic Diet along with Denamarin Advanced Tablets. Recently Denamarin Advanced medium tablets were out of stocked. Couldn't find the Veterinarian only Advanced Denamarin. In my panic I started researching and found Coco and Luna. These two supplements so far has been amazing and very similar ingredients. Every morning I had to force down the Denamarin Advanced Tablets (yes they gave chewable but our pug, Luna would not eat) followed by a syringe of water. I tried everything to hide the small tablet but somehow she knew it was hidden. This was such a stressful event every single morning for the both of us with honestly little return on her ALT levels. I will never go back after finding Coco & Luna supplements. I get the Chewable Liver & Kidney plus the Chewable SAMe and give half in the morning and the other half before her dinner. I'm amazed that I just put in her dish and she eats like it's a great snack. No more stressful mornings and big savings in $$. Now I will know more if this is helping her levels or not the end of this month and will report back.Thank you Coco & Luna!!!

Rock solid batch
I give my dog these once a week for his liver. I’ve purchased this a few times before and had no problem but this recent container has the chews rock solid. The expiration date is for next year but my dog is having a hard time eating these (he’s a 6lb chihuahua who has some missing teeth). I do break it up but even I have a hard time due to how hard they are. Can’t return it but this makes me unsure of repurchasing

My 2yr boxer’s AST & ALT improved within a month
Had my vet check my 2yr old boxer’s blood before a minor procedure, because I just felt something was wrong. She’s normally an extremely energetic (basically energizer bunny on coke) playful girl. I asked for bloodwork because as I told vet, “something’s wrong, she’s lethargic, acting like a normal calm dog” normal dog isn’t diagnostically helpful. But sun 2 years, I lost my 2 boxers (cardiomyopathy & cancer), one was after my vet’s former partner ignored my concerns about a mass on my boy, multiple appointments he called me overprotective, worry too much, need to relax, it’s nothing” since I have anxiety, I regrettably thought he must be right, it’s just me, he knows better than me. A month after my girl died, my boy was grieving beyond depressed, got him in with this vet- learned the other was gone. Unfortunately he knew I was right, said I know my boxers & about boxers health risks. 2yrs after removed, clear margins, he’d been great, it suddenly returned & he was gone weeks later. NOW, I am neurotic & My vet knows best to just check :). Her AST was almost 2x above normal & ATL (600+) more than 5x normal. For 2hrs he ran tests, I researched & ordered this plus milk thistle. After he suggested a medication (basically a mix of SAME & milk thistle), then laughed & wasn’t surprised- already ordered. My girl is 61lbs, but tiny to me, smallest of our boxers, not a big eater & very picky. started with 1 pill then 2, no side effects or stomach issues. Stayed at 2 pills at her follow up, AST was with in normal, not even near high! ALT was still 2x normal high at 225… but tremendous improvement & my mini-boxer gained 2lbs! Vet agreed go to 3. When her enzymes were rechecked she also got her allergy shot, they assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. Days later started sneezing, runny nose, & coughing. She HATES medicine, SAM-E included- with antibiotics & cough medicine 2-3x day, haven’t gotten her to take 3 pills of each too (I’m disabled, can’t wrestle a stubborn wiggly boxer to force her) she’s getting 1-3 a day whstever I can, while trying to get her in w/ a specialist. hope her levels haven’t shot up again. Aside from her other issues, this stuff works & fast!I was not a big believer in supplements, never did much for me. Yet, I started after my older girl tore her ACL/CCL, couldn’t have surgery due to her heart, & as is common tore her other side from overuse. I dove into crazy mom research, started supplements, despite her age, heart failing, still a stubborn hyper boxer who didn’t agree with rest, she recovered fully & quickly. So much more than anyone expected w/o surgery! I started my 100lb boy on them, despite his weight & being a bouncy wiggly active boxer- never had an issue with joints. I recommend these & supplements in general can be helpful- but still research & talk with vet.

Mixed Results — Not for Every Pup
I got these milk thistle tablets hoping to support my dogs’ liver health. It’s hard to say for sure if they made a noticeable difference — no dramatic changes, but I like the idea of the added support. The biggest issue was the taste. One of my three dogs absolutely refused to eat them, even when I tried hiding it in food. The other two didn’t mind, but it’s definitely hit or miss depending on your dog’s preferences.Overall, it might be worth trying, especially if your pet isn’t picky — just don’t be surprised if they turn their nose up at it.
