Title: The Game-Changer for Pool and Hot Tub Owners: A Review of the Heavy-Duty Stainless Steel Submersible Pond PumpReview:When I stumbled upon this heavy-duty stainless steel submersible pond pump, I was initially intrigued by its intended use for creating water features. However, my intentions veered off the beaten path. Faced with the quarterly task of draining my 550-gallon hot tub, a process that tediously dragged on for hours, I sought a more efficient solution. Enter this powerhouse of a pond pump, capable of moving water at what seems to be a comical speed, exceeding 7,000 gallons per hr according to its specifications. The result? My hot tub was emptied in mere moments, transforming a once-dreaded chore into a task so swift it almost beckoned disbelief. The concern for potential damage from hot tub chemicals to the pump's components briefly crossed my mind, but the sheer performance and efficiency of this pump overshadowed any such worries. Besides, a quick flush with fresh water post-drainage has become a simple, routine maintenance step for me.What truly sets this product apart, beyond its exceptional capability, is the quality of both the pump and the customer service provided by the company. Upon realizing a minor component was missing from my purchase, I reached out to their tech support, fully expecting the hassle of a purchase process. To my delight and surprise, they shipped the missing piece to me promptly and without charge. Such a level of service is rare and speaks volumes about the company's commitment to their customers. The pump's robust stainless steel construction promises durability, and its performance has been nothing short of remarkable in my non-traditional use scenario. Whether you're considering it for its designed purpose of beautifying your garden with water features or seeking an unconventional yet highly effective solution for draining pools or hot tubs, this pump is worthy of consideration. In conclusion, if efficiency, durability, and top-notch customer service rank high on your list of priorities for a submersible pump, look no further. This heavy-duty stainless steel pond pump not only meets but exceeds expectations in both traditional and inventive applications. I strongly recommend giving it a try; you will not be disappointed.

Strong Pond and Waterfall Pump
I installed this pump one week ago and so far it’s working perfectly. I connected it to the ‘HALF OFF PONDS Variable Speed Control for Pond Pumps’ to vary the speed. My only complaint is the way the pump connects to the 2” pipe. On my previous HALF OFF PONDS Pump, there were two bolts that could be removed that would allow the connector to be screwed onto the 2” pipe and then connected to the pump with the two bolts. The pump designed has changed and now there are two screws that attach to loose nuts that are inside the pump. I ended up removing the two bottom sections to get to the loose nuts and then glued them to the undercarriage. They only had to hold long enough to get the screws started. Other than that, the installation went well and the pump works well.

Four seasons and counting
This pump has been working absolutely great for us. We had been using a much more expensive brand but only would get 3-4 years out of them. When the last one failed it filled the pond with oil. It took me a week to get it properly cleaned out and safe. One of the other problems with the other pump was that you had choices between HP/Flow that were not quite what we wanted. Too much or too little. This pump can use a speed controller so we get precisely the flow we want for our two tier stream. This pump does not have as heavy duty a case or impeller as the other but since the bearings would freeze up or leak on the other one, who cares? I put it in this summer and was pleased that it worked as well as when it was new. I am not happy that I had to put in three separate pumps since I got the pond but I am happy that this one has lasted at least as long as the more expensive original units.

Unbelievable!
Holly buckets Batman! What an awesome pond pump! I'm blown away by the water pressure. I built a 7,200 gallon two-tear pond with a waterfall 12 years ago and have been using a pump that required priming every time the power went out or the filter began to plug up. After 12 years my old pump began to run slower and slower and a couple of weeks ago I just couldn't keep it running. I gave up and finally pulled the old pump out and went on-line in search of a bigger and better automatic on and off, no primping required pump and found the Patriot LE5500. I read the reviews, submitted some questions and was encouraged by the responses. So, I purchased the Patriot, received the pump yesterday and set it up today. It didn't take long to stretch out 30 feet of 2 inch hose. I anchored the Patriot to a plastic milk crate and held it down with a 10 pound weight. I also purchased a recommended plastic filter bag to help keep out some of the debris. The bag was pretty big, so I cut it down to size and wrapped it around the base of the pump. I probably spent about an hour setting everything up. I climbed out of the pond, took off my chest waiters and flipped on the power... The waterfall exploded with a powerful roar. I had never seen so much water come out of that waterfall. I didn't realize that I had done such a great job on building the pond and it took the Patriot pump to show me just how nice it could really be. I'm completely impressed with this pump and whole heartedly recommend the Patriot for anyone with a back yard pond who wants to enjoy the full potential of their pond.
