Q: Is this good for 2nd day curls?

Yes, dependent on how much you use but I have not gone beyond 2 days without shampooing.

Q: is this water based ? Water soluble ?

If hair thick may be a good product not sure about water soluble but greasy very much coconut smell and on my think fair hair did not di well but definitely takes away flyaways softens the hair

Q: How long is this product’s shelf life ?

Not really sure. But I've had the twisting cream and the hair butter from this line for years and they still worked. I used the moisture milk as a leave in so it would not last too long anyway. I use leave ins and butters more often than stylers.
