Will not close
Product will not close with even a simple cheese sandwich in it. The clip to close the sandwich maker is plastic and easily broken.

Broke immediately, slow to heat
The top broke off right out of the box, the first time I used it. It's still usable and does an okay job overall, but pretty slow to heat. Not recommended, you can get a much better sandwich maker for this price range or a little more.

Sadly and supringly not great. Just started using in new kitchen and sandwiches stick to top and bottom plates almost each time we have used. Russell Hobbs can do better than this.
