I'd not heard of the German Annemarie Borlind brand before, despite the fact that it was founded in the Black Forest as long ago as 1959. The list of ingredients was interesting - and refreshing as this is a vegan-friendly product made with plant extracts from certified organic farms. Its main ingredients? - botanical hyaluronic acid, organic aloe vera, willow herb, papyrus stem cells and organic caffeine. I regularly use a serum but by comparison it contains a whole list of ingredients that appear to be chemical/industrial. When I apply my regular serum I notice nothing. I keep applying it - hopefully. But even after a couple of years of using it I can't say a notice a difference. With the Annemarie Borlind serum, I could immediately detect a difference. It appeared to be astringent, so made my face seem a little tightened. I waited for the serum - which was very wet on application - to dry before applying moisturiser, then primer followed by foundation. I actually felt my other products applied better than usual after applying primer. Look at the online description and I can see why - 'Alpha Hydroxy acids gently peel the surface of the skin to allow for ideal absorption of moisturising ingredients in your skin care routine'. This brand has spent over 60 years developing a natural, green beauty brand. A lot of brands are trying to appear more eco-friendly now in order to take advantage of the green pound. But this brand's been around doing the same thing for decades. That's some heritage. The product was packaged in a frosted glass dispenser - my regular serum is packaged in plastic. All I can say is I actually noticed a difference - and I shall be re-ordering.

This lovely serum by Borlind brand is indeed trustworthy and worth the money spent. Its all natural German made black forest. Most things I love about is the double action of gentle peeling plus moisturising. After a month of continuous use my skin has never been smoother and younger looking. It's so lightweight and absorbs quickly that I can't stop loving it.
