are the batteries the same as the 398 and model before

The JPL91440A battery included with the RB441T is same battery for RB398, RB398S. The previous model RB397 battery was a JPL91430A (30Ah) battery which was later replaced with JPL91440A (40Ah) for longer life. Both the 40Ah and 30Ah lithium ion batteries are 14.4v and interchangeable between all MAX lithium ion powered rebar tiers.

Does this come with a charger

The Twin Tier includes a battery, charger and case. Great tool

Can we buy extra battery for this tool?

Yes, it takes the same li-on battery as the MAX RB398 & 518 JPL91440A
