I had been having trouble finding a doorstop that worked for my very heavy iron and glass front storm door. Not only is the door weighty, the gap between the bottom of the door and my wheelchair ramp is considerable. I had tried three separate doorsteps to no avail. I am very ill and I get dizzy when I bend over, so a traditional wedge doorstop was risky...and most of them weren't tall enough or strong enough to hold the door in place...Until NOW.Lulu's doorstop is tall, has a lovely handle, is heavy enough to keep even MY door open, and is easy to carry despite the weight. It even matches my decor, which includes a lot of Spanish black iron. What more could I ask for?It is very easy to put together. It comes disassembled in the box with the handle grip and the two handle height pieces separate from the floor piece. You have three height choices: you can screw the handhold directly into the base drilled at the top of the floor piece, or you can use one or both of the height rods (which also screw in) if you prefer not to bend. I used all three!It's easy to put together, no tools needed. Just be sure to make sure that your connections are tight and secure! I put mine together in about two minutes.I bought the 9-pound Fleur-de-lis. I've named her "Big Flora", and she resides happily by my front door, waiting to be utilized for my next Amazon delivery!I love the product. It's a godsend for a disabled, elderly, or sick person who has health issues and can't use a traditional doorstop for fear of a fall or a fainting spell. Plus, it WORKS on heavy storm doors. Adorable, well made and perfect to prop the door open when bringing in the groceries.

This door stopper is great. I have tried other door stops for my laundry room door and none of them worked. This one has been perfect. It was easy to assemble, looks great and has held the door in place. Love the handle, no more bending down to move a stopper, this is especially helpful to my dad who lives with us and is 89 years old.

Heavy and apparently sturdy. Cast iron. Pleasant overall look. Possibly coated with a rust preventative. The vertical rod could have been a bit longer. Center of the handle is 22" above the base. 24-25" would probably have been better. Taller persons will need to stoop to grasp it. The handle leans in towards the door when used on carpet, which makes it a bit difficult to grasp. Stands straighter on hard flooring.

Sturdy and charming. Works perfectly and looks quite nice when not in use.

I was a bit concerned when I first opened the box to check this out. Being a gift for a friend who has some physical limitations... This item is heavy! But the long rod makes it easier to move around, and it ended up working perfectly for her. I gave it a 4 star for maneuverability because of it's weight. It might be a bit too heavy for some young children, elderly or those that have some physical limitations. The tall rod allows one to not have to bend over to move it. I felt it was a bit on the expensive side for a door stop. I purchased it because it was a gift. I would not spend that on a door stop for myself. It is well made and it is cute sitting in her house for that reason I am giving this 5 stars.

This is a sturdy door stop, weighty enough to do the job, but not too heavy. The handle allows easier placement. It holds the door in place, and its form as an English Bulldog is attractive.
