How to be a Scientist By Steve Mould

my 7 year old granddaughter took it home with her to finish reading
I bought this many months ago as my 7 year old Granddaughter is into science and stays at half term etc...this book went back with her and she has quoted it from it many times. It does not really give many experiments, but explains the approach that scientists take to prove (or disprove) an idea, written in a language and with examples children relate to.I think it has definitely helped my granddaughter with some of her school homework - she was recently tasked with 'understanding friction' and the approach in the book helped her ....she designed a test using a playmobile ramp and car, and made a prediction (tarmac would be worst - she was not quite right, it was carpet) and then proved/disproved it. This is obviously not in the book, but it has helped her frame her thought processes

Excellent introduction to science for kids
I bought this book for my friends' kids and they love it. Everything is clearly laid out and succinct. The kids always talk about doing new experiments every time I visit. I can't fault this book at all, it's great, as are Steve Mould's videos on YouTube, where I discovered this book originally. I recommend subscribing to him if you haven't already.
