Safari Ltd. Ice Dragon Figurine - Detailed 6" Model Figure - Fun Arctic Creature Play Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Ages 4+

Detailed dragon, same in scale as safari LTD's other dragons, but a bit small when compared to their horses or wildlife. Threatening action pose, and wings are a bit more flimsy than the rest of the dragons and they're a translucent plastic but I've had it for a couple years and it seems pretty sturdy. Good for play or display. The colors are a lot more dull than in the Amazon pictures, more so the purple. It doesn't really remind me of the ice element, in all honesty, but for the most part you get what you see. Overall good quality, sturdy, and the paint job is great. Definitely hand painted by a talented person. Note: It is not an action figure and does not have poseable body body parts, for those asking.

This is the second time I have purchased this ice dragon. The first time I received a completely different dragon. I Didn't complain because it was another excellent dragon. This time, the clear molded plastic, that is supposed to support/protect the dragon, was not on the dragon. The base was on but the other two pieces were loose in the bag. As a result the dragon's left wing is not as vertical as the right. It sticks out to the side. I am going to try correcting it before returning it. IMO this dragon deserves 5 stars. The way that my orders have been handled is what earns only 3 stars. I really like it but have not had much luck with this particular dragon. If I can get the wing to stand up correctly, I will keep it. If not, I will be returning it to try again. Ok, upgraded to 5 stars. I put a rubber band around both wings to keep the bent wing upright, Paying close attention to the placement of the wings. Left the band on for a few days and now both wings are standing upright quite nicely. No damage to either wing. I may include before and after pictures later.

This is the Best dragon ever and very detailed. Can’t wait to use for my grandson’s birthday cake. He picked it out. Came packaged well. Came quickly.

I have ordered another dragon from this series (Safari Ltd Golden Dragon) and I have found that this ice dragon's paint job is done 100% better than the Golden Dragon. The protective casing it comes in is usually used as a stand, which I fully support, but this dragon has long toenails that stick out, and It is extremely hard to get it in and out of the bottom piece of casing. Plus the top piece has a sort of chin strap plastic, which if not removed carefully, may chip and scratch the paint job. Otherwise, I have no complaints, it's all beautiful. I think the face could've been given more care and thought, but he's fine. I also noticed he has a groin lump. I don't mind it, I just thought that no other figurines I've gotten ever had any sign of gender. I kind of appreciate the extra effort and effect. It's nothing explicit, just a little lump, and the scales go over it like everything else on the underbelly.

I purchased this for my sister-in-law for her birthday, and it was a huge hit. She collects dragons by his artist, so this was a logical choice to add to her collection. I was surprised at the amount of detail, especially considering the cost. The photo accurately reflects the actual color -- a pale icy blue with a pearl/iridescent finish. The wings are translucent, but sturdy. The material is somewhat flexible, but not overly so. This is a quality item, with an amazing amount of detail in the scales, claws, face, and wings. This is extremely sturdy, and due to the flexibility of the casting material, could probably withstand the handling of a child, but it's pretty enough to put on display. A good gift choice, indeed!

This Safari Ltd Ice Dragon I must admit is exactly as advertized and is beautifully designed, however I did expect it to be a bit bigger. It's just a little smaller than some of the other dragons we ordered as Christmas gifts this year. But it's okay. Nothing was false in the advertising, it was my mistake. I'm not sure I would get this again due to this, however, it is a beautiful dragon and as it is a gift, I'm sure the person receiving it will be pleased, but it is not going to match in size with the other ones we are gifting. I would say, though, that this dragon is the perfect size for smaller hands to play with and it is only a couple inches smaller than the others. This was one of the ones we ordered for one of the adults and perhaps for display purposes this smaller size would be preferred, who knows? Well, whatever they do with their dragon is up to them. We just thought it would be fun to get everyone a dragon for Christmas!

This dragon was purchased as a gift for a dragon loving preteen girl. We are very happy with the quality of this dragon. Safari LTD hasn't disappointed us yet. The details are fantastic, the colors are bright and even after a lot of use, the colors don't wear off. This piece stands up well on its own and doesn't wobble around like some other figurines. The wings are secured firmly so we are confident that they won't ever come off. This dragon is a really nice addition to my daughter's collection. She really enjoys playing with it. Great for imaginative play!

This is the fifth Safari dragon that I've ordered through Fairy Rose Toys. They are the most reasonably priced distributors of these toys and always deliver well within the stipulated time period. The products themselves are of a superior quality and are always packaged well so that the delicate parts like the wings, etc. are not damaged during delivery. I just wish that Fairy Rose Toys would get a bigger selection of Safari dragons and animals.

A perfect and fairly economical way of adding a large dragon to your roleplaying/ wargaming miniatures collection. I bought this for £13.50, it's perfectly playable as is , though some perfectionists may want to repaint or dry brush white over the wings and body in places where it is rather blue for it to an officially correct looking white dragon The stance is awesome, there is no base to the figure, you can stand it normally or have it rearing menacingly towards your quaking adventurer party. I couldn't find any text on the body or wings to spoil the look of the piece. The dragon does not come boxed in a gift box type package, it's surrounded by vac formed support plastic in areas that need protecting and is then totally wrapped in bubble wrap. I guess this keeps prices down. I thought this dragon would be a little cheaper, but it seems all figure toys these days are quite costly. It is still cheaper than the collectable D&D or similar miniatures. All in all a good piece!

Meine Tochter ( 14 Jahre alt ) ist eine Drachen-Figuren-Sammlerin. Dieser Eisdrache ist vom Aussehen und von der Verarbeitung ein Schmuckstück Ihrer Samlung. Das Material ist aus Kunststoff und hat eine sehr gute Standfestigkeit. Wer sich für Fantasy Drachen interessiert, wird mit dem Kauf dieses Drachen sicher keinen Fehler machen. Wir sind jedenfalls begeistert.

I bought this as a DND mini and its feet fit nicely into a 3”x3” base (Huge category). I went with this ice dragon because white dragons are the weakest among the chromatic dragons so my players are more likely to encounter her first. Technically, Adult dragons are Huge (3”x3”) and Young dragons are Large (2”x2”) but I see no reason why you shouldn’t freak out your players with a Huge dragon that’s really only using the stats of a Large creature. You would be getting use out of it much sooner. In the case of white dragons, it’d mean you could use this toy as a Challenge 6 instead of as a Challenge 13 (or Ch9 instead of Ch16 if used as an oversized Young Blue dragon instead of an Adult). As scary as it is for new players to see a 3”x3”, imagine experienced players encountering what they know should be an Adult dragon waay too early.
