This compilation of classic fairy tales is a beautiful heirloom quality storybook all on its own, but is meant to be a companion book to Colfer's popular The Land of Stories series (volumes 1-5 out now; a sixth is coming in 2017.) The series follows twin brother-sister duo Conner and Alex when they fall into a magical fairy tale book and find themselves on an adventure within the magical world of fairy tales. This book is a replica of the magical book the twins fall into. It's a large tome, beautifully illustrated and the classic stories are charmingly retold by Colfer. Really a must have if your young readers love the series, but also an ideal way to introduce the favorite fairy tales to little ones and prepare them for Colfer's series as they get older. Ideal bedtime storybook to enjoy with your children. Five plus stars!
