hi--wondering if FOOD GRADE BPA free?? also--please describe what looks like hole on top?

All of our pails are food grade but I don't know for sure about BPA Free. The hole on the top is a 1/2" hole with a grommet inserted in it.

Is this fermenter effective with a 6 gallon carboy? I'm worried about overfilling or not enough space near the top.

This is too small for use as a primary fermenter for 6 gallons. You need a 7.9 gallon pail for use as a primary fermenter for 6 gallons of wort/must.

This question is for the seller. why dont you use a rubber gasket on your lid. the lid definetely did not make an air tight seal?

Not seller, but I have purchased 2 of them. I have had a pretty air tight seal...well...airtight enough to make some damn good beer.
