Ks1 Discover & Learn: Science - Study & Activity Book, Year 1

A great workbook from CGP. Full colour pages with a variety of fun and attractive tasks this is perfect for 5-6 year olds, with the support of a adult to help with the text (though in practice they should be able to read some of the words themselves).Not only does this help with science, but there is great reading and writing practice here as well, plus chances to be observant and artistic as well. This book includes exercises on "Our world" (including weather, day and night, and the seasons), plants, animals (with the body - including the senses- mammals, birds and fish), and materials. A really good first step in science that parents and children will enjoy.

Although the book is short, the depth of knowledge is very successful. It is possible to find all Y1 curriculum in this book to provide support at home. As I said, the only disadvantage could be a little more pages.

I home educate my son and this book is incredible. We covered many key KS1 science subjects and its brightly coloured engaging and informative workbook.Very pleased.

My son is five (year 1) and we enjoy working on this together. The pages are lovely and bright and the learning is concise. I'd of liked a few more pages. Maybe a bit on space as it mentions day and night (earth and sun) so to extend on that a little would have been nice.

I don't often write reviews but during the lockdown my daughter has really enjoyed doing this book and has learnt alot. Its the only book she has managed to complete
