I use these brush pens for watercolour painting on the go and around the house. When I first received them, one of the flat brushes has a few bristles bent back, but since I've been using them, I haven't really noticed it. The barrels actually do prevent backwash, which was my biggest issue with my other water brushes. These brushes are so easy to paint with. Getting the water out is easy and doesn't require guesswork on how much pressure you need to apply to get the water out. For the price, this is an amazing set of brushes.

I really enjoy painting with watercolor but it is kind of a pain to get everything out and full cups of water and sit at a table. I discovered watercolor pencils recently which made it possible to sketch my image while lounging on the couch but I still had to sit at a table with the cups of water once it was time to turn the pencil sketch into a watercolor painting. Then I came upon these Arteza Water Brush Pens and oh wow what a game changer. I can sit back on the couch now and using only my watercolor pencils and these water brushes complete my project. I actually find these easier than using a traditional brush because I always have a hard time controlling the amount of water on my brush. These brush pens distribute the right amount of water and if I am not sure I just do a practice squeeze on my hand to check. The water well holds enough water to cover hours of work. I didn't even read the instructions on how to fill them because they were so simple. Just open, fill, screw back on the cap and done. When I am ready to change colors I just pump out a couple of drops of water and wipe the brush on a little rag I keep next to me. Because the water distribution is so even I don't have problems of constantly needing to dab extra water off the paper because it pools. The brushes put out enough water to fully blend each small section enough that pencil lines are no longer visible. The size of the brushes are perfect and have just enough stiffness. They come in both round and flat. I really love these and highly recommend them to anyone using watercolor pencils. I haven't yet tried them with other forms of watercolor so I can't say how they would do but I could imagine they would work well. Totally would buy these again although they are made well so I doubt I will need to any time soon.

I have purchased lots of water brushes over the years and these are the best I have ever ordered. Firstly, bristles are softer like a real paintbrush, not plasticky like other brands. Second, these brushes do not leak out water. Third...in this pack you have every size you will require to complete a painting of almost any size. I will definitely order again!

Pros:They are really very long. Not sure if I actually like that. The Caps seal well and they are some of the better water brushes I have used. They seem sturdy. They hold a good deal of water. The squeeze mechanism is Handy and allows more adjustment than the ones where you squeeze the whole bulb reservoir of the pen body.They are a good price for the quality Cons:These stain, like any brush. the water comes out kattywampus sometimes and drips out the side by the base of the bristles.They take up a lot of room for on the go.It's not like using a real brush, but no water brushes are as good a quality as a proper watercolor brush, IMO.I would buy them again considering some water brushes are total junk. These are some of the better ones and for about $2 each, one can't complain.
