This is a good addition to any cajon. Sturdy and made from rubber wood. A renewable resource thats grows very fast and is sustainably replanted on old plantations. The attack is fast with a jingle. Played in different areas with different striking methods gives you a variety of sounds and it doesn't take up much real estate on the side of the box. Very well priced and highly recommended.

I don't know whether I received a damaged item. Within first few hours of jingle taps came out.

As you'd expect from roland good quality wood and nice jingle from the cymbals hook & loop works well. Stays stuck while your slapping some beats, does add some interesting ghosting (to be expected, it's on the box your hitting). I use a Roland slap-top so it's a little easier to mute it on your leg, I'm using it side on as opposed to up & down. Which helps minimise activation (ghosting) until you strike it. Adds a nice timbre, dimension and dynamic. Kinda like an open hi hat or cymbal while keeping a minimal set up easy to add/remove and carry. Give it to someone can be used like a tambourine to get others involved hit shake and off you go. Would recommend!
