Great
Arrived missing the 2nd pot lid, but otherwise it's a great little stove. Just be sure to keep the level of your biomass below the interior air holes, to ensure the smoke gets burned.

It's a fantastic stove - but what I will tell you based ...
It's a fantastic stove - but what I will tell you based on experience is that they advertise using just twigs around the site. BUT, if you want to keep it burning at maximum efficiency you have to feed it constantly, and twigs and rubble will not do it. Once the fire is going it burns hot, burns efficiently and eats wood like a little furnace. Yes, it takes little wood compared to a fire pit but to cook a meal you have to have a fare amount of wood cut into the nice little pieces that it needs. If you gather up a bunch of dry twigs as they advertise you will burn through that stuff in short order - you want to have some hard wood in the mix to get some coals going and get a longer sustained burn without shoving little pieces of wood into it every minute to feed it.When it's burning efficiently it is very hot, it's not a simmer or a method of cooking where you build a little fire and can stew something, you need to be on top of it, stir frequently to keep the food from burning, get it hot and get it off is it's mission.I started using a diffuser plate when it's in high gear to cook because it can just as easily burn things if your not careful and using thin metal pans like most camping gear is made of, including the solo stove pans like what come with this kit.it is overall a nice kit though, I think it, as many camping kits are, way overpriced but can't help myself.I also hate that something like this costs so much and they still use standard cheap welds to attach handles when I would MUCH prefer a rivet. where you know for sure when you have a meal over the fire that it's not going to give way and will last forever but the cheap Chinese way is all that we seem to find anymore, even when it is found in expensive gear like this.My wife suggested that for the price I could almost buy a cheap all-clad pan and just use that, I had to pause and really think about that.in the end, I went for the compact design instead, I'm a sucker for packability - otherwise I would be using a nice, heat distributing pan that is designed to keep from burning and distributes hot spots and promotes even heat. Wait, why did I do that again - form over function perhaps, still wrestling with that.

This has got to be the best thing I've ever bought on the internet
This has got to be the best thing I've ever bought on the internet. This is a brilliant piece of kit and I'm seriously thinking of throwing away the gas camping stove now. Safe, contained the fire, hardly any smoke- I actually tried this out on my front doorstep as I have no garden and couldn't wait to try it. It was brilliant!!I've backpacked it up to local woods and cooked my bacon sandwiches with it! so light un easy to deal with. Cools down quickly to pack away.( Beware of the black smudges of soot- just when you think your hands are clean - black sooty marks appear- but Hey!!)'.It'll keep me warm in on those cold camping nights to.Well worth every penny. Well done all!.
