PetmateBooda Dome Litter Box, white

So I have 4 litter boxes, 2 are bigger than this one, and one smaller. My cats will only use this one to my dismay, so I’ll have to order another one soon. It’s sturdy, decently sized (wish it was a little bigger for my 18lb cat), can hold a nice amount of litter, and easy to take off the top to clean.

I am so very pleased with this litter box for my new rescue Kitty. I got the simpler design; it has very little odor issues except when Kitty first poo's in it. It's height is great, and it fits my smaller Kitty, but I think a larger one could use it. She can turn around and around, to cover her business well, and she can look out, and enter and exit with very little tracking. It hold plenty of litter, I use the new silicone litter and really like it. The top lifts off easily, and it has filters. One thing I did was put partial clear plastic bubble wrap in two pieces hanging down from the inside of entrance. Further helps with initial odor, and doesnt bother kitty.

So I have the Booda Clean Step litter box and love it. It's clean, efficient, and both my kitties understood it immediately. However, it's huge and difficult to live with in a small space. This is why I decided to purchase this litter box after reading all the reviews. I took notice that some cats poop out the opening and others had problems with leakage out the crevasse.This box arrived quickly and I put it to use in the second bathroom. The kitties loved it! They jumped in and quickly started using it. There is little to no smell and it helps having a second box to control the amount of waste two cats can produce. It's the perfect size for my space, the opening isn't too big or too small, and I haven't had the issues of leakage or poop flying out the front as they turn around inside. It's super easy to clean... just lift the top up and scoop away.Here are the two issues I've come across: unlike the Clean Step, this box has zero in the way of preventing the litter to scatter as my cats step out. Every day I have to vacuum up the loose litter on the floor and it's quite a bit that's there. I keep the litter level to an appropriate depth so that it's not spilling over the edge and my kitties' paws are pretty small so it's not like they're monsters dragging it all out.The other issue is this... I have a dog. Apparently, she likes to eat the tootsie rolls squeezed out of my cats' butts. I've never owned cats before and did not know this little tidbit. And so, my pup sticks her head in and helps herself to cat crap covered in kitty litter. This can't be healthy. I came up with the simple solution to turn the top around so that the opening is facing the bathtub with just enough space for the cats to climb through but not enough room for my 40 lb'r to fit herself in to enjoy another buffet.I give this box 4 stars because on the whole it's an excellent litter box with just a couple of inconveniences.

Perfect for my NYC apartment- it’s no secret that in NY you need to make the most out of your small spaces. Not only is the litter box spacious for the cat it doesn’t take up way too much of the living space too. The only realistic place for me to put it was in my small bathroom and this is the only corner that works. Also because of how it’s shaped it looks aesthetically pleasing, not boxy. Highly recommend!

Nice size, I like the dome better than the square ones.....can fit in smaller spaces....My two cats love it.......

Doesn't take up much space, fits in a corner well. Buit enough space inside for my cats to turn around and fling litter . It does keep the litter contained since it is covered. Also pretty easy to clean since no corners.

Nice dome litterbox but no way to fasten dome top to base. One energetic cat and the dome will topple over.

We recently moved to an open floorplan home so not many places to hide the kitty box. This size enabled me to tuck it behind a bathroom door so out of the way but still easily accessible. We have 2 cats and one is rather large but we've not encountered any issues with them using it right away.
