The book itself is wonderful! The prints are so beautiful and I love the book quotes. A moomin fan must have! Unfortunately it arrived unpacked, just in a carton, and some of the prints are a bit bent on one side. Which is a shame since the prints could be pulled out and used as a decoration if wanted. I will most likely send it back and that serves me right for buying nice books on Amazon! This is not the only time when I purchased a book on Amazon and it was packed badly or showed through the mailbox and damaged..

I bought this as a gift for my sister who loves Mumin. She loves this illustration book a lot. She bought frames and decorated all around her home.

Nicely presented and varied selection of the original artwork, featuring Finland's most famous cultural ambassadors. Bizarre and beautiful, and very much their own special thing - who doesn't love the Moomins?Each page is printed on solid card, with a colour illustration on one side and a black and white piece on the other. The pages are pretty firmly attached to the binding, so could be kept as an intact book, but are easily enough removed in order to frame, or just pin up as they are. The only problem I could imagine with this would be choosing which side of any page you'd want to show on your wall - though I guess you could just buy a second copy.

As someone with a Moomin mad friend I always buy something Moomin related for her birthday - this item is by far the best quality and most authentic (to the original) item purchased yet. She loved it and I have to say that I was also very impressed by just how good it was. Thick pages, beautiful imagery and definitely one for fans of the original Moomin series.
