since its all metale its a little bit on the heavy side you need to be more careful when using cutting your self ,but over all built quality is good.

High quality but have a little weight on it ,and with 100 ready to use blades it will last for quite some time

Excelente herramienta para rasurado. Ciertamente hay que tener destreza para no cortarse pero ya que lo domines te encantarà.Navajas hechas en turquia. Son muchisimas. Llevo ya 2 años con el producto y solamente he consumido aprox 10 navajas. Lo cual quiere decir que el filo aguanta bastante.

Initially, I was going to buy a cutthroat which would've been $120 at the cheapest level (for all the accessories) but often $200-$500. I figured I'd make a stop at the shavette station before making such an investment.Overall, the shavette is a good bang for its buck. At first, the hinge is stiff which is great when you're first learning to shave but it does eventually loosen up. That being said, cutthroats (and friends) should actually have pretty loose arms that will allow you to finesse in tight quarters.There's not much to this model-- the body is all metal with a black finish (this does slight ware at the razor guard and hinge). Razors blades are quick and easy to replace which is a big plus when shaving under time constraints. With a cutthroat razor, you'd need to sharpen and strop before shaves which is entertaining enough but is rather time consuming.The angle on the razor guard is great as a starting point for yoyr angle to hold the razor. I've cut myself a handful of times because (a) I try stupid things (b) I shave too quickly.Currently, I'm using this to edge my beard on my cheeks and to clean my neck. My neck is cut free after 4 months with is 1000% better than life with disposable razors.My face is pretty forgiving but the trouble spots for me is on my mustache at the smile crease (the only consistent minor cut).Depending on the blade, the shave can comfortably last 5 days but I usually touch up after 3.Are there better razors? Sure. Are they $8? No.

This is my first straight razor but I can’t imagine them being much better than this ! If you want to get that crisp line up then trust and believe this will do the trick. It takes a little getting used too but after a few little cuts here and there ,I got the hang of it and got my beard lined up pretty nice . It is extremely sharp and even the little cuts I have myself were so fine that by morningthet were pretty much gone . The weight of this is great I wouldn’t want a light feeling razor with as sharp as it is . The blade guard is solid and easy to use . The razor also comes with a box of replacement blades that will probably last me at least a year. I am excited that I can now give myself that crisp line up that I once could only get from the barbershop . Do yourself the favor and pick this up, you won’t regret it . I can give myself a extra week or two before going back to the barber so this pays for itself in the first month.
