Very useful and giving results
The straw therapy was recommended to my son by his speech therapy. The straws arrived as expected. It comes with a informative guide on how to use it. They are made of a sturdy material it will not deform with biting. My son loves to use the straw, the color and shape made it interesting. He takes his cup to pre-school and all his friends want to use the straw.I do use a rubber band to prevent for the lip lock to slide down since my son uses it all the time and I do not hold it for him like is suggested.Since we starvto use the straw therapy my son has moved up to straw#3 and is working, his muscle strength has improved and he is able to close lips to “u” shape now when asked.Update review: As we move up on the straw number they get more difficult to clean, and the regular pipe cleaner does not fit through, will be good if they sale a cleaning kit. FYI we use the straw all the time for beverages during the day and clean it at the end of the day.Yes I will buy another set and recommend this product.

Fun and helpful for toddlers
These straws come in different shapes and length. My son was on the NG tube for the longest time and was never able to learn how to chew. Was recommended by a therapist for my child. This has helped my son build muscles in his mouth and improve his lung. He used to have short of breath when running. But it seems it has gotten a lot better. Regular straight straws seem boring to him. But with these fun straws, he’s always willing and find them entertaining. They are opaque so you can see the fluids through them. They are harder to wash.My recommendation is to make sure to run them under hot water right away so nothing builds up. I then throw them in the dishwasher, not hot water. I do have a long flexible brush for the straws. But so far, I haven’t had trouble cleaning them.

Adequate for the use meant for it
For the price, I wish all of the straws had been checked before packing. One of them has a small dent, deep enough to make it unusable. Other than that, the set is indeed adequate for speech therapy (cleft palate treatment) and had the advantage of having different sizes, twists, lengths and diameters all in one pack. Steep price if you don't want to spend time looking for individual straws. The twisty ones can be hard to really clean thoroughly.

Great straws
Great set of straws. My 3 year old's speech therapist uses them in his sessions and encouraged me to purchase a set to use at home. I was very reluctant to purchase them due to the price. I waited a few weeks to mentally prepare myself to pay the high price. I did finally purchase as in the long run i knew it would help increase the strength in his mouth muscles, and hopefully speed up his speech therapy sessions. So far he has moved up 3 straws since beginning to use them. They are colorful and fun. He likes watching his chocolate milk go through the loops as he sucks it up and watching it go back down when he releases suction. Just wish a cleaning tool that could be pushed through the straw could be included. I usually rinse it immediately after he uses it so his chocolate milk doesn't dry up in the loops as it sits in the sink before washing. I have resorted to using a pipe cleaner to get moisture out.

We love talk tools
We love talk tools, they truly make a huge difference in speech therapy. My only irk with them is that they are difficult to truly clean. My child has a heightened sense of taste & despite my disinfecting them and rinsing them well, he swears they make the drink taste different. (I always make sure to do extra rinses of water and I also take the first few sips—the taste is undetectable to me, but again I do not have the taste palette that he does.)In any case, I recommend these to any parents who have a child in speech therapy, as they are great warm-up tools before practicing certain sounds.

Cheap plastic
I bought these for my kids speech therapy. I was surprised when they arrived- seriously for this price I was expecting slightly better quality. They are just the super cheap plastic items you would buy in bulk for a party. I guess for the price I expected better quality. But this is what I was asked to get for my kid so not sure what else to say.
