My hair is 80% white. How dark will my color come out?

Caralee, I am just now getting patches of silver hair and noticing how the dye color is affected. If you're 80% white your result will probably be two, maybe even three shades lighter than the lightest color shown on the box depending on how your hair takes color. I would suggest doing a color test on your hair (it's a pain, I know) before committing to the all over color. I have noticed with this hair dye that leaving it on the max time (appr. 35 minutes) or applying a lot of it, as opposed to just enough to cover your hair well, will result in a darker color initially.It is a wonderful product and gives a nice, glossy color as well as slightly thickening the feel of the hair. I have naturally black hair and want to keep it black, which shade should I get?

I would think that Keratin Luminous Black would be the right shade for you. I use Espresso for my dark (but not black) hair and it's perfect for me. I hope you will be as pleased as I am with this product. It covers gray and leaves your hair unbelievably glossy and healthy. And it lasts a long time!

is this hair color ammonia free?

Don't know but it doesn't smell like the other hair coloring products where it's so strong you feel dazed. I really love this product , I have long hair and only use one box .My hair seems healthier, thicker and it's shines more. I've gotten complements left and right versus other times when I'd dye my hair with Miss Clairol or other brands.Also , you won't get that " I just dyed my hair " smell .I Love this product!!

Which color is closest to Garnier (green box) #600 Natural light brown/ spiced hazelnut? I'm looking for a natural medium-type brown, but without red?

I have no idea, but it definitely would not be this one. This color claims to be a medium brown and it is very close to black! It is a very pretty and flattering color, but it is much much darker than my natural shade. I have found that I need to shop in the dark blonde shades in order to get a light enough shade of brown to be my natural color. The browns have just gotten so much darker over the years. Used to be when you bought a light brown, you got a light brown. Now you get a medium to dark brown when trying to purchase a light brown! If you're looking for a light shade of brown, I would go for a dark blonde.
