While there are better stranders available from custom builders
Essential tool for the aspiring whipmaker. While there are better stranders available from custom builders, they cost 10x and offer only minimal features above what this strander will do. On deerskin or 2-3oz soft cowhide, I'm able to strand roughly 50ft before I need to reposition the blade, and I can reposition the blade roughly 3 times before I need to put a new blade in. For a 3 belly 10ft whip, that means I'll use maybe 3 blades.

Works perfectly the blade that comes with it is dull but your gonna need to get blades anyway so no big deal but cuts strips of leather greatly just keep A caliper near you so you can get the width you desire cause it doesn't have numbers to tell you but great tool and I love it

Fantastic Tool
While the width device doesn't stay in place well, and the thickness setting roller is a little tough to set, the tool overall, is Amazing. The short-comings aren't really a major issue since once they're set, the tool performs swimmingly, making repeat cuts at a professional grade every time. Overall, 5/5 for this tool. I've you're wanting to make narrow lace (up to 1/2") this is a MUST HAVE.
