Amazon Brand - Kitzy Wet Cat Food, Variety Pack (Turkey & Vegetable/Chicken & Beef ) Stew Cuts in Gravy, Grain Free, 3 ounce (Pack of 24)

My cats generally don’t like stews especially if there are whole peas. This is the only exception. Good clean ingredients but carbs are just too high. Healthy cats should eat 10% carbs or less & diabetics 5% or less. This is higher than 10% use a cat food carb calculator available online for a good estimate. This brand is decent & affordable just go for the pate flavors which are low carb w/minimal plants, grains, fruits, vegetables or potatoes etc. Cats have no requirement for carbs & If you see plant matter in ingredients there are carbs. If carbs were a requirement there would be a minimum % on the can/bag If u pay close attention the best cat foods are only meats, organs & vitamins/minerals Carbs=diabetes & obese cats so choose wisely. I’m particularly fond of the Kitzy Turkey Pate. It only list one vegetable & it has no fish. Fish is a controversial ingredient. Cats get addicted to the fish flavor & refuse healthier proteins like Turkey or chicken. Let’s face it our cats are small & fish especially unnamed fish contain mercury. Their little bodies can’t take those heavy metals long term. Pregnant women are even supposed to limit their intake yet some of us feed fish every meal to tiny felines. Also thyroid problems are linked to fish & vitamin malabsorption. My cats absolutely love this stew but leave behind the peas & that may be a good thing since cats shouldn’t be eating vegetables. I’m on a budget so I’ll feed a vegetable like potato if it’s not in the first 4 ingredients. I feed this here & there not every day. The stew is visually appealing to us humans but cats could care less. My wife even allows me to heat it in the microwave & there is no odor. This IS grain free but unfortunately Kitzy just uses other veggies in place of grain. I’m super impressed with the turkey pate by Kitzy.m in the can. Do your research. All the other Pates by Kitzy contain fish so don’t waste your time & choose turkey. I can’t remember if ANY of these flavors contain fish oil. Fish is not the best ingredient but purified fish oil is a really good ingredient. I add fish oil almost every day. I hope this review is helpful. I cannot thank Amazon enough for this cat food! It is the ONLY food my 20 year old cat will eat. She is on thyroid medication, so she eats A LOT just to maintain her 5 pound weight. When this is out of stock, the struggle is real. I have this on subscription, and I really appreciate Amazon making a good, healthy, apparently senior cat approved, wet cat food that is reasonably priced. These are actual morsels of food- chunks- not pate, minced, or sliced- and you can see the veggies. Lots of gravy and doesn’t smell bad either! Thanks, Amazon! Keep up the good work!

Cats don’t love it or hate it…

My cats wouldn’t even touch this food or lick the gravy but then I started crushing it into a paste while it was still in the sealed package and would out it in a plate for them and they began licking their plates cleaned like it was their new favorite food!

My 15-year-old cat gets a Kitsy pouch for breakfast every morning, a tradition that goes back at least two years. She looks forward to her morning routine of leading me to the kitchen and watching me pour the contents into her dish. Sometimes she only licks the broth, sometimes she eats more of the meat, but it's our treasured routine. Today I opened a new box of the mixed flavors, and one by one she sniffed them and looked at me as if to say "where's my real food?". My wife and I both noticed the broth is now thin and watery, so it's even obvious to us they've cheapened the mixture. My cat gives it a solid zero.

My cats really like it! They are pretty picky but they even eat the peas and carrots in this food!

My kitty would go crazy for this food in the past - then it was out of stock in December/January. Then in February, it came back in stock so I ordered 8 boxes! The first 4 arrived and I immediately gave some food to my kitty but he looked at it, sniffed it, tried it, and walked away. Has not eaten it since it. I have served him 4 different pouches and he prefers to go hungry than to eat this food. I feel like the recipe changed while it was out of stock for a couple of months and now the cat hates this food. I can't return the food since I opened all the boxes and stored the pouches in my pantry. Not sure what to do, maybe donate it to my local ASPCA? Real shame, the previous recipe made my kitty so happy.

Simple, cheap, quick delivery. Doesn’t have a weird smell (you know what I’m talking about 😁). Enjoyment for cats, no terrible feelings about the smell for me. Will order again.
