Does not work
Looks good when wet after just apply. But eventually it more or less goes back to before application.

Great product kitchen cabinets look great and I still have a lot left if I need to refinish down the line but it's very strong so depending on the person you might want to use gloves and a face mask

Great Results!
Very effective at refinishing old furniture to original finish without much sanding. Match up available color to Howard color and 0000 steel wool to refinish to a fabulous result! I look forward to future projects.

Awesome results!
Used on a vintage maple rocking chair, cleared up some pretty big scuffs and scratches. The finished product looks so nice!!

Blonde/unstained Maple - lesson learned the hard way!
I used this on blonde maple kitchen cabinets that had been damaged by steam and water. In some places the damage was slight--minor scratches and water damage that didn't penetrate all the way thru to the wood. But other damage was more extensive, where the polyurethane had failed (cloudy white color, visibly flaking or cracked) and the wood underneath was exposed. Based on my experience, Restore-a-finish works well for the minor damage that doesn't leave wood exposed, but DO NOT use it on exposed wood! The tint in product will darken the wood, making it look permanently dirty/dingy! Instead, sand with 220 sandpaper, wipe clean with paint thinner, and let dry. Then, wipe with moisturizing oil (linseed, mineral, etc.) to re-moisten the wood. The newly-oiled wood will now match the color of the unaffected areas. Wipe off the oil with a dry cloth and wait a bit for it to dry. Finally, apply wipe-on polyurethane to protect and seal the wood. Now it won't look stained/dirty.
