Sketchy battery connections have made this a bad choice for us
These don't work for our large goldendoodle. He ignores the signal or the batteries in the puck and/or collar don't connect, so the system doesn't work half the time. We have poured a lot of money into the Petsafe system and it has left us pretty frustrated. Over the years, our dog has learned not to stay away from the pucks, but to challenge the system to see if it's working since he has learned it operates only sporadically. Better quality control with battery connections would have been great.

It works!
I have these all over my house to keep my cat from destroying things and getting on the kitchen counter when I’m not around. As soon as he hears the warning beeps he backs off. The collar is pretty big for a cat but he’s used it now. No more yelling, load noises or spray bottles getting everything but the cat wet! This is a great product and does exactly what it says! I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the collar is pretty big

Dog free zones
I have 3 units to keep my dogs out of certain areas. Dogs are no longer able to get to the cats liter box, bedroom or stove while cooking. First one I purchased did not have the instruction booklet so I wasn't aware there is a tab by battery you have to set for multiple collars. Some of the Pet Safe collars for invisible fencing will work with this also. Be aware of distance of the boundaries outdoor unit has larger boundary. Would buy again.

The Pet Safe Paw
I have to admit when I got this product I was a little skeptical. But I have to realize that my dog is not the same as everyone else’s dog.In fact, it proved to be very very helpful to a point that I don’t even have to use it anymore and he stays off the chairs Anywhere I put this product he knows he’s not supposed to go there and he doesn’t go there. It’s amazing I would recommend this to anyone who knows their dog.

Scary but does work
I wish they would have a collar just for cats. This one is scary to use so I rarely use it. The batteries last, but perhaps cause i dont use it so much. But i can say the little he has worn it, he thinks about an area before he goes near the bird, but just long enough to think that he doesnt have it on so I can stare at the bird. He only got the low zap 1x. But I can tell you I tried it and it got my attention. You arent to leave this collar on long, so all I can say is that it has him thinking before stepping. So I'm adding foil & spraying it with butter apple to see if that helps when the collar isnt on. Most buyers will have to trim the neck collar, it's very long. So cut it & use a lighter or match to run the cut edge near the flame to keep it from fraying. You can see the fibers melt so it will not fray. If you get it too close on the flame it will light so just blow it out if it does. Remember melt not burn to stop fraying.

My male dogs were marking all over my house!
We have three adopted dogs and two of them are male. They were constantly competing by marking on couches, drapes, chair legs, basically anything they could lift their legs on. I spent months in training with them hundreds of dollars in vet bills to make sure nothing was wrong with them and over $2000 in professional cleaning bills.I thought I would have to have to crate these dogs forever and then I discovered these pet barriers. I now have them all over my home, and they're very easy to hide under couches and behind curtains etc. The good news is no more leg lifting. Once in a while I will find a NEW spot, but I just put a barrier there and within a week the dogs avoid that area. It's also wonderful that they won't go in my formal living room anymore, so I can have guests over and the dogs aren't jumping all over the furniture and my guests. These have seriously saved my sanity.
