I don't use them for any type of alcoholic beverage, I use them for ice water or soft drinks. Never tried the mugs chilled, either, though I intend to one day. My husband will handwash if he uses one, but I throw them in the dishwasher even though I am pretty sure that's not recommended. They still look great. I would be proud to give these as a gift. I don't know if they really hold 18 oz., but they are on the larger side of the Moscow Mule Range. Also, the color is pretty and different. Nice for display, functional for use.

The mugs were delivered ahead of schedule. I ordered them for a special occasion and I'm not let down. The mugs and straws are of good quality. There were no blemishes or scratches. I plan to hand wash and dry to keep them for a long time.

I hand washed, as directed, then used. When I went to hand wash again, (didn’t notice the first time, though it might have happened) gray/black transferred from the inside of the mug to the soft cloth I washed them with. Seems a bit disturbing. They are truly beautiful so I gave a higher star rating, then maybe should have. :(
