Excellent for the price
I put this sub in my hatchback for a little better sound quality. I've bought these lower power systems before and specifically this one because I have a smaller battery in my Honda and I didn't want to run a power cap. That said, this 10 will put out some impressive bass even at 200rms. Don't expect to rattle your tag off and I think if put in a regular trunk it may be underwhelming. However it does bump when properly tuned and when using good inputs. This is the second rockville system I've bought and will definitely buy one for my next setup. Only slight complaint is that the glue or materials used to build the box smell for a while after install. A little 50/50 water and vinegar spray will make that smell go away.

Don't buy this!!
So after 4 months both the amp and sub stopped working smh. I gave it a shot and bought this but now will have to go in the trash, waste of money. Diddnt even last 4 months what a joke. Save your money and avoid this.

Great deal
EDIT: 10/26/21 The subwoofer itself died in the middle of a song almost two months ago and I forgot to update this review. At the time I had not driven the car this was installed in for about two months and after about 10 minutes of use for the first time in two months it died. It didn't pop or make any horrible noises, it just stopped working. I bought a super cheap $30 Boss 10" to replace it and the difference is night and day in both build quality and sound. The Boss sub is twice as loud with much less gain and much, much better build quality. The amp still works but for how long? I could rip into it a lot more now that my experience with it has turned into a bad one. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed with this kit overall, I've decided to replace all of it. Don't buy this kit._____________________Original reviewGreat deal here, if you want some decent bass without breaking the bank this is it. I bought the single 10".Reasons I'm only giving 4/5 stars; none of these are major issues, just little annoyances. No where in the description does it say it comes with the harness to use speaker level inputs. Bought a line output converter just in case it didn't but it did. Not a big deal, I've already returned the LOC.Sounds like garbage if you use the speaker level inputs, at least with my car it did(04 G35 Coupe w/ bose sound system) With everything maxed I could barely even tell I had a sub with my 6x9s still connected. Honestly this could be completely the fault of my cars stock system, but it was easier to wire it this way with the stock head unit. Have used speaker level inputs for subs in other cars with no issues before; but they were not bose systems. I had to rewire it using bare wire/rca cables tapped from before the amp for it to sound good. Once again I feel this is likely more the fault of the cars stock system, but I can't be certain. The box design seems really stupid. They decided to make the port point down for whatever reason and the large sides that "elevate" the rest of the box feels pointless other than accommodating the downward pointing port and to look cool. Because of these sides it takes up way more space in my trunk than is really necessary. It almost doesn't fit in my trunk because of the sides and I also can't push it very far back in the trunk because of this. The knobs on the amp are stupidly installed. The screw lines do not match up with the min/max points for the adjustments which makes it harder to accurately adjust. I'll try to remember to upload a picture of this, not sure if I described it well.I know it sounds like a horribly negative review but its really not. Just giving some feedback to the company and warning others about some small annoyances that might be a deal breaker for them and save them some time if it is.Overall a fantastic deal. It does it's job, it makes bass, just has a few quirks.

Good amp, Bad sub
It says the woofer is rated for 40-500hz, but I had it set up to 60 with 8db of boost. I was bumping and all, and it sounded decent but I never really pushed it. It's been a couple weeks since I installed it and just last night I kept smelling a burnt electronics smell. Today, I lost all sound completely from the sub and found the voice coil blew. I reused the box for a 10" kicker and the size of the magnets and voicecoil side by side is night and day. The sub that comes with this has no more "beef" to it than a regular ole mid-range door speaker. No wonder it blew. But like I said, I swapped it for a 10" kicker I bought for $60 and the amp pushes it just fine and it hits way harder now. I would give it 1 star but because the amp and box are alright I gave it 2 stars.

Cant beat the price for what you get.
My daughter (17) asked for a new sound system in her car. Mind you, her car is a 1997 Camaro with F-Body and limited space in the rear hatch. I had to take into consideration that her T-Tops still needed to bit in the rear hatch area when removed. Having experience with installing sound systems back when I was in High School. The Rockville RV10.1D was a very simple install. The amp kit gives you more than enough power cable remote cable and speaker wire. The connectors fairly decent and do the job. The fuse for the power line is a bit cheap but it will do the job. Connected to a very cheap Dual XDVD276BT head unit. After install, I set the Gain and Base Equalizer just by an ear test. Inside the car sounds fantastic. Outside of the car, you can hear the base but not the rattle sound. Rockville is a great return on investment without breaking the bank. My daughter loves it. After showing her how to set it and letting her know not to change the setting on the amp I’m pretty confident that this system will last and serve the purpose its intended too.If you looking for a system that’s super loud, super deep growling base that will rattle the rearview mirror off. This is not what you’re looking for. If you want a nice sounding base that hits so you can actually experience the music with the T-Tops off or convertible top down. You cannot, I repeat cannot beat the value of this package.

It worked great until it didn't
When I first had this installed I fell in love with the system, it punched good bass for what you payed for. Then 6 months later all the sudden it stopped working for seemingly no reason. Now no power is even going to the amp.Updating because I found the problem. Not even a full year of it being installed and the voice coil has already blown. I'm very disappointed.
