Power of the Fire Dragon: A Branches Book (Dragon Masters #4)

An excellent series! My grandson, age 5, loves these stories. I read to him via Skype and his attention never falters as he is gripped by the story lines. He is currently on the latest book, having waited impatiently for it to be published. They are perfect for developing the imagination - dragons, wizards, castles - what more could you ask for? The language is age appropriate but not dumbed down - more difficult words like 'skittering', 'cocoon' and 'scurried' can be gleaned from the context.I also like how the Dragon Masters are a mix of boy / girl and ethnicity. The characters are fully developed showing showing both their strengths and weaknesses. The stories are supported by detailed pictures on every page.I send a paperback to my grandson and also instal it on my Kindle, when his reading skills are more developed we can read them together.

This series of books is great. My 4 year old son loves them, he was totally transfixed the first time I read them. To be honest, they could do with re-editing, as there is quite a lot of superfluous content, but I tend to just cut those bits where possible.

I am purchasing this series for my 8 year old grandson. Although they now present little challenge for him as he is an advanced reader, he loves the stories and the characters. He reads them over and over again and can hardly wait for the next volume to arrive in the mail. I appreciate the email updates as to publishing dates. If your child likes dragons, then these books are great for reading aloud or for independent reading.

Great little stories! Well priced and arrive very quickly. Toddler boy listens to a few chapters every night and has really gotten to know the characters through the season and can't wait for the next book to come.

My little guy loves these books saying that he is 6 so I was the reader. Would be a good read for kids who have been reading for a year or so. Well written, great for little imaginations. My little guy would appreciate a few more pictures.
