Amazing - but a small fix is needed to get accurate temp
I love this AC.Appearance:it is the best looking window AC unit I have ever seen. Very sleek and easy to keep clean. I love the clean front panel vs most ACs have vents you can see right thruFunctionality:SO much better than my last unit. People complained that it was loud, I didn't think so, ACs make noise when they are on. Its nice white noise to sleep to. But it quickly cools my room and it has a schedule feature that allows you to set when you want it to turn on. So I keep it low during the day and then it cools before bed. works great. the remote is nice too.Issues:the internal thermostat is located too close to the cool air so it gives an artificially low temperature. in other words, the room doesn't get as cool as you set the temp. EASY FIX - open up the front door and move the internal thermometer to poke out the bottom of the AC. there is a video posted showing how. I did this the first week I bought it after experiencing the issue. Fixed. I have been using this AC all summer and has been working great.

The first unit emits no cool air on neither the eco mode nor on the ...
Let me start out by saying how extremely frustrated I am! I currently have two of these units in my NYC apartment and neither of them works! They are both going back to Amazon! The first unit emits no cool air on neither the eco mode nor on the standard cool/hi mode. I initially thought I was doing something wrong and I decided to go back and study the manual, but with no success. I then went through all the reviews on Amazon, including Googling online to see if anyone had any solutions as to how to resolve the issue. Believe me, I really wanted to keep this AC bc I love the features, especially the Wifi, (which btw does not work!), and it has a very sleek look. However, the wifi feature was what really sold me, bc I have a six months old puppy that gets hot very easily and wanted to be able to control the temperature if/when I wasn't home during the hot summer season.Nonetheless, I contacted Frigidaire the following morning to see what solutions they had in order to help resolve my issue. Well, I was informed that due to the size of the unit, they do not provide any repair or replacements - only for larger units. I then contacted Amazon and a lovely lady sympathized with me and agreed to send out another replacement of the same model and explained that I should go ahead and ship the first unit back.I then paid a mutual friend to come in and install the second unit and he was done putting it together at exactly 8pm. At 9:36pm, while struggling and sweating profusely trying to figure out why the replacement unit was again, not cooling the room, we gave up.I now have both units in my apartment waiting for a service pick-up to have them delivered back to Amazon. My puppy and I will now have to suffer in my hot apartment with two fans until I can find another AC that is reliable and does what it's supposed to. That being said, either I've been unlucky twice with the same unit, or it is just seriously defective!Luckily, I am still within the time allotted to return the units back to Amazon bc as I mentioned before, Frigidare does NOT have a warranty on this AC.So these are the issues which I've encountered with this AC:-Wifi does not work, also has very poor reviews in App Store-Eco Mode emits only warm air-Fan Mode emits no air-Cool/Hi mode also emits warm air or no air. Shuts itself off constantly as if it's operating on Eco mode-Unit reads incorrect temperature of the room-Unit climbs in temperature while set on low temperature; after 45mins waiting, no improvement.- Airflow vents face upwards and cannot be adjusted up or down - only left to right- Frigidaire offers no customer support or warranty

This is a good product, but my most recent order arrived badly damaged.
I ordered one of these, the 8,000 BTU, several years ago and it still works great. Two things I like most about it:1) It has a sleek profile, is much less of an eyesore than a typical window unit.2) It runs somewhat more quietly than a typical window unit. The actual volume is only modestly lower, but the sound itself is smoother and less “irregular,” if that makes any sense. It cools a room just as well as a typical unit, though the vents point up so you won’t get a blast of cool air directed right at you shortly after turning it on, rather it will cool the room over time after running for a little bit.The app is okay. It takes a very long time to load for what it is, and sometimes (rarely) it registers the unit as on when it’s off or vice versa, but overall it is at least functional. I use the Frigidaire app, I don’t use Alexa or similar, so maybe it works better (and more quickly) with Alexa. I wouldn’t know. All in all, the product itself is very decent if not perfect. However, the unit I just ordered arrived horribly damaged. This is just simply unacceptable. Best case scenario I now have to take time out of my day, and during a pandemic no less, to return this. And without a replacement product available. And that’s assuming the seller, Dynamic Deals, approves the return.Update: I was able to return the item to the seller, Dynamic Deals, for a full rerun. Their communications about which return process to follow were a little confusing/self-contradictory but Amazon customer service helped iron out that communication gap, after which the return was actually the easiest I’ve ever had to do.
