First, I’d by any measure be considered a heavy earbud user. 5-6 hours a day, every single day. Music, audiobooks, podcasts. I’ve burned thru 7 pairs of Bose soundtrue earbuds... discontinued by Bose. Arguably the best sounding earbud on the market. I have always been a Beo fan and decided to give these a try. Out of the box, they are going to be a delicate, fragile proposition. I can’t imagine them being as durable as Bose. Time will tell. I did notice some “wire noise” initially, but It turned out to be a recording from 1992... more recent recordings. Zero discernible noise. Admittedly i was concerned as a number of reviews noted wire noise as an issue. Sound quality is extremely precise. Excellent response throughout full sound spectrum. Build is what would be expected from BO. Perhaps better sound than one might expect for the low-to-mid price. As a foot note, if you listen to old recordings, be prepared to work the equalizer. Audiobooks that have any age will overwhelm you with between-words-noise. Likely due to the extraordinary sensitivity. The ear pieces on this particular model do a good job of sealing, thus minimizing environmental noise without the added feature of active noise cancellation. They are compact, light and sound fantastic. I still prefer the warm, robust sound of Bose SoundTrue. Perhaps due to wearing them out over the years.... but since they are no longer produced it’s something of a mute point.Update: i was skeptical at first.. after about 20 hours, I’m convinced they sound better than Bose SoundTrue. Zero ear fatigue after multiple hours of listening at a stretch. I’m not sure they could sound any better. Underpriced.
