Pricey but the string of lights is nicer than alternatives
I ordered a MtnGlo to replace a string of ENO lights that I hated. The ENO lights had four modes (High/Low/Fast blink/Slow blink). The blinking modes enraged me each time I had to cycle through to change brightness (I go to the woods to get away from blinking lights, @#$%&!). I read the reviews and I was aware that the MtnGlo lights had a blink mode but I still ordered them for one reason: you can connect the MtnGlo to any USB power source. That means I can simply plug them into the Anker phone charger that I was already carrying with me and leave the cheap, poorly designed Big Agnes batterycase at home. Plug in: on. Unplug: Off. Done. No blinking!I'm going to crack open the case on the Big Agnes battery case and see of the circuit is simple enough to be hacked. If I can figure a way to disable the blinking and possibly add a dim setting, I will update my review with instructions.

Really??? Full Bright or a Strobe?
Really, only 2 choices on the light output? Full bright or a Strobe?YGBKM? Send the engineer/designer or corporate know-nothing back to shipping and receiving because this is silly to do this to what was a really great product before this "update" was implemented.IF you like your lights to be full bright all the time, or for some reason you haven't induced a epileptic fit on someone recently with a strobe light, you'll be happy with these lights. Otherwise, maybe not!

Perfect fit in an REI Half Dome 2 Plus
These put out juuuuust enough light to sort out your belongings in the tent before calling it a night. You could read or play cards under them, but your eyes may be straining. If that is a priority, I'd recommend supplementing these with a Moji Lantern or something similar.I ended up stringing these through 6 of the little fabric loops in the roof of my 2019 REI Half Dome 2 Plus. The string is just long enough to travel through all the loops (in a sort of hexagonal bowtie shape) and clip back onto itself, with the removable battery pack stashed in one of the pockets up top. The lights are light & flexible enough that I just leave them in and pack 'em up with the tent. Super easy, and I always have lights ready when I set up the tent. Now we have to talk about the "disco mode," aka "I sure hope I'm not epileptic" mode. Why, oh why, would they swap out the dimming feature with a useless strobe mode? If the dimming was causing issues, I'd MUCH rather just have a simple on/off switch and call it a day. In fact, the mode is so irritating that I felt it worth deducting a star from an otherwise perfect product.Despite the useless blinking mode, I do still highly recommend these lights. Just enough light to get the job done, and in a lightweight, versatile package that lasts a long time on 3 AAA batteries. Love the lantern-bag idea, too.

Not very durable but they're the best solution I have found
I remove the cloth cover and wrap the string light around my hammock ridgeline. It provides the most perfect lighting I could hope for. The downside is this last purchase is my 4th set on my primary hammock. They are wrapped around the ridgeline loosely so they aren't holding any weight. They are never abused. They simply don't last. I absolutely love them while they're working, they just don't hold up. Im always looking for a better alternative.

Lovely color and long lasting.
We used to sets of these lights on our last camping trip. They are solidly built, work great, and last forever on a set of batteries. We strung one set on the back of our trailer and used it as a reference to make our way around camp at night. My family really loved these lights.
