Blades did not fit.Received the 8 star center blades. My model is the 'bow-tie or sometimes referred to as the S',I did not return it because I needed the mulching plug. I will sell the blades myself.When I ordered, it said that it fits the 42" Cub Cadet.Lesson learned.

The kit was delivered as promised. I only needed the mulching plug as I had just installed new mulching blades so I have an extra pair. The mulching plug installation was not as simple as described. The front pin needed some manipulation to fit into the tab on the deck. Once installed and mowing, the plug didn’t completely shut down the flow of clipping but had acceptable performance.

Everything went well until l went to fit the metal pin of the plug cover into the hole of wheel bracket as per the instructions, it didn't fit properly. The pin has a bend in it which didn't allow the cover to go back far enough to fit on the bolt on the deck. It ended up I had to bend the pin out straight in order to get it to fit.

Bought this for my 42 inch ride on mower. I only used the plug as I have good blades installed already. Very easy to install. Tested it out and it stayed in place and worked well.
