U2: The Definitive Biography

Very insightful! A wonderful read!

I love this book it provides so many details and is believably candid. I admire Ali for her faith and perseverance - it must have been really difficult for her to maintain and still maintain a marriage with a superstar such as Bono.- she is definitely “Her own person’.

There have been many books written about U2 but none as comprehensive and well balanced as this excellent one by the author John Jobling.This is a penetrative study of arguably the biggest band in rock over the last 30 years and whilst it is full of well researched information it is an easy book to read and takes you along at a storming pace giving you great insights into the workings of the rock industry and indeed the politics industry.This book provides a great read, whether you are a U2 fan or not, and shows how good attributes such as talent, belief and determination can be mirrored by bad ones such as vanity, greed and avarice. Buy it and read it all for yourself.

This is a well written biography on U2 that is written by someone who knows the band well. It is good because it is written from a different point of view. Fans of the band will want to read this book for a fresh take on the band.
